Toma's personality analysis in a nutshell

♢ What I love about Toma is that he's capable of doing er...questionable things, despite them coming from a human + understandable (yet not justifiable) place. As long as everything is going okay, he remains as 'the nice guy'. He's one of the very few characters that has their 'red flags' manifest under the right, extreme circumstances. This sets him apart from someone like Shin or Kent, who's flaws are more prominent.

♢ Of course, the person he presents himself as in public contradicts the darkness that lingers underneath. Despite his kindness, there is no doubt that there is something twisted in not just his own, but other routes, as well. Specifically, when the heroine is hurt in some way. This side is ultimately what he is afraid to show to others (specifically the heroine) as he believes it will cause the heroine to hate him. His route is a perfect example of him believing the heroine hated him after it was revealed he wasn't her boyfriend, but still needed to keep her safe above all. She didn't have to forgive or love him, just bear with the ludicrous way of protection until Toma sorted her harassment out

Toma in Bed

♢ Toma is more likely someone that tends to be on top more. However, he's afraid of hurting the heroine, heck, having her hate him more than anything! When he's at his most vulnerable, seeing the heroine safe underneath him and trusting him with her happiness in bed, his gentle and caring nature shines. He's ultimately a soft service dom. He's likely to worry about you, so expect him to ask if you're okay the few first times before cutting his restraints and ploughing into you

♢ There is a chance that Toma can be rough and overstimulate you if you don't say anything, and even if you do, he doesn't think he can stop. The way you're a mess underneath him, your body feeling like a live wire with every thrust, it really gets to him. Heed this warning whenever you two get home and you've figured out he's jealous. His possessiveness manifests outwardly whether he likes it or not and it often results in him taking it out on you. Until he's satisfied, he's going to be a bit cruel. He would never degrade or deliberately hurt you, but your going to feel an ache in your legs for days

Aftercare

♢ When he's calmed down and realizes that you're okay, Toma is a wonderful lover, he really is. Looking at the same four walls for hours on end was draining. The plain color palette became an eyesore after a while, and you could swear you would go crazy if it was spent in another moment of silence. Being sick was one of the worst feelings in the world. It didn't help being an Asaemon as well, having to deal with the heckling from the others and Fuchi’s attempts at giving you medicine that tasted like garbage. You were just about to fall asleep, your eyes slowly closing when you heard knocking and the door slid open.

“Y/n!”

It was Toma, of course, it was him. He was the only one who would genuinely check up on you during times like this where the others just went on with their normal lives. But, you knew the reason why. Because Toma wasn't like the rest of them, he was here for ulterior motives to get his brother out of the cell he was being kept in. You figured it out rather quickly, and confronted Toma on this shortly after you did, and agreed to keep it quiet between the two of you.

“Hello, Toma,” You said to him, your voice raspy as you spoke.

Toma smiled over at you, walking to you and taking a seat down besides you on the short futon. He set his sword down next to him, and looked over at you. “How are you doing?”

“Terrible,” You muttered.

“Figures,” Toma nodded. “Are you in need of anything?” He asked.

Shaking your head in response, you rolled over onto your side to see him better. “Why do you even care about me so much?”

He tilted his head to the side, eyeing you with confusion, “What do you mean?”

“You know what I mean,” You said. “You're the only one who's checked up on me other than Sagiri and Fuchi on a few occasions. Why?”

Toma let out a nervous chuckle, his eyes now avoiding yours as he replied, “No reason. I suppose because you're the only normal one here, and you're the kindest one towards me even knowing what I’m really here for,”

“None of us here are normal,” You were tempted to roll your eyes, but didn't in the end.

You had been with the Asaemon’s for a long while now, since you were a child. Toma was completely new to all of the things they did. You knew everyone here in and out. He didn't. He was excellent with a sword, but you all were. That's why you were all here. You never asked about Toma’s life before he came to the Asaemon’s, not wanting to dig deeper into the reasoning as to why he came here in the first place. He never asked about yours, assuming it would be close enough to how all the others showed up here and so he didn't bother trying. It was an unspoken agreement between you two.

Suddenly, Toma pushed his sword aside and moved so he was sitting next to you, him on the ground while you were still on the futon. You looked at him confused before he wrapped his arm around your shoulder, pulling you up slightly so you were sitting up leaning against the wall.

“What are you doing?” You asked in confusion, looking up at him.

“Nothing,” He answered, shaking his head lightly.

You eyed him suspiciously, knowing there was a reason why he was doing this and wanting to figure out what. One thing about Toma was that he was hard to read, well, it was easier for you who found out about his brother rather quickly, but for everyone roselake it was difficult to see what he was really thinking behind that plastered smile. But, that's one thing you liked about him.

“What're you thinking about?” Toma asked you, looking down at you.

“Just wondering,” You replied, giving a subtle shrug in his direction.

“Of?” His voice trailed off as he spoke.

“Well,” You started, leaning your head on his shoulder and resting your eyes closed. “It's odd. You're the one I’m closest to here and you've barely been here for a few months whereas I’ve been with the others since I was little. But, I’m…happy when you're here. I’m happy. I don't completely understand why but-”

Just as you were about to finish, you were cut off from your words by feeling lips pressed against yours. After the initial shock, you realized what was happening and kissed back before Toma pulled away from you.

“I also feel happy when you're here with me, Y/n. I've held back these feelings but I can't anymore. I am in love with you, and I hope you are too,” Toma told you, his eyes looking away from you again as his hair covered his face.

Gently moving his hair from his face, you looked at Toma with a small smile, “Of course, I am in love with you as well, Toma,”

A smile immediately grew on Toma’s face as he glanced back over at you, “Really?”

“Really,” You nodded.

With a grin, Toma hugged you tightly and began to plant kisses all over your face, “Oh this is great! I’m so thrilled! I was worried you would never talk to me again! Ha ha!”

Chuckling while shaking your head, you gazed up at the male, “Now we're both going to be sick,”

“Yeah, but at least I’ll have you!” Toma said with a wide smile.

Innocent Disguise

Summary: Growing bored of their life in Iyo, the Aza brothers decide to move on in search of something more exciting. However, their gang of bandits didn’t take to kindly to the news. Now, hiding out in a foreign village, they come across a girl whose not as pure as she may seem.

Toma remembers the day he and his brother met you. Tending to the wounds that his hot-headed brother acquired when their group of bandits caught wind of their departure. The two of them hid in what seemed to be an abandoned house on the secluded side of a village.

Conveniently, Toma was able to find herbs for medicine and a nearby lake for water. But they would’ve had to move soon. Toma used cloth from his brother's torn-up shirt to stop the bleeding but he needed actual bandages and food.

What they hadn’t expected was for a girl their age to walk through the door with a basket of plants. You had fresh soil on your arms and the lower part of your dress from digging up the herbs. But other than that the material of your clothes was well made and your hair was neatly swept out of your face along with a light face of makeup.

You didn’t look like an outcast, so what were you doing in a run-down house on the edge of what Toma assumed to be your village?

As he pondered who exactly you were, he was hit with a terrifying thought. What if you were gonna tell the chief that the bandit king and his brother are taking refuge in his village? Toma tensed. Should they kill you? Let you go and flee? Hold you hostage?

Chobe wouldn’t be able to do much in his current state, so it was up to Toma to make a decision and execute it. Toma kept his gaze glued to you, trying to figure out if you were actually a threat. Until your eyes drifted from him to his brother. Your shocked expression melted into one of concern, “Does he need help?”

Yes, Toma thought as he looked back at his brother who was covered in blood, wounds, and dirt. But he didn’t know you or your motive. How did he know that he could trust you?

After contemplating it for a while he ended up accepting your help. Looking back on it, it was pretty stupid of him. Things could’ve easily gone sour and it would’ve cost him and his brother a lot more grief.

To this day he doesn’t know why he decided to trust you, maybe it was because the caring look on your face reminded him of his mother. Nevertheless, you ended up being genuine in the end.

On the first day, you cleaned the herbs and helped Toma make medicine. He couldn’t figure out why you were doing this. But when you sat down on the bed in front of his brother, fingers brushing over his skin with a feathery touch, checking out the severity of his wounds. Toma figured you didn’t know who they were.

Many grown men were terrified of the bandit king and what he could do to them. Yet here you were, a young girl tending to him with the utmost care without an ounce of fear in you. At least, that's what it looked like to Toma.

He had also noticed the way his brother looked over your face with his good eye. He looked nowhere near as panicked as Toma was. Only breaking his soft gaze to glance down at your hands when they touched the cuts on his torso.

You had asked Toma to rinse the dirty cloth that he’d used as makeshift bandages. He did so quickly, not wanting to leave his brother with a stranger for long.

You concluded that his injuries would be fine for the night and looked up at his face, intending to tell him that he would be alright until tomorrow. But the words left your mind as your eyes caught his. Noticing the closeness between the two of you, the light from the sunset hitting your faces showing off your irises in their most beautiful form. Butterflies swirling in the pit of your stomach, you wondered if he felt it too.

Toma walked back into the room and handed you the cloth. He hadn’t thought much of your shared gaze, more worried about the health of his brother.

However, when you reached for the cloth with your head down and his brother looked up at him with a vacant expression, he felt as if he was interrupting something.

When it came time for you to leave that night, Toma felt his anxiety rise. There was no guarantee that you wouldn’t rat them out, it was all a gamble at this point. His train of thought was cut off by his brother's voice, “Pretty girl.”

Toma looked at him confused, neither one of them were the type to entertain women. Always on the move. Always fighting or on the receiving end of a fight. Stealing to get by. All they really had time to do was take care of each other, “I guess so?”

“It’d be a real fuckin’ shame if we had to get rid of her,” Chobe remarked, a look on his face that his younger brother wasn’t familiar with.

Toma would be lying if he said he wasn’t relieved when you showed up the next day with bandages and an antiseptic. He thought about Chobe’s words from the night before. He wondered if he would say anything about your return.

He didn’t, he just sat there quietly while you tended to his wounds with proper supplies. After making sure the older brother was taken care of, you handed Toma a basket with a few apples, “It’s not much, but it was the best I could do on such short notice.”

Every day for the next few months you would check on the two boys. Changing Chobe’s bandages and bringing them baskets of fruits, bread, and herbs. Although the items you bought had helped a ton, Chobe needed protein.

Once Toma felt comfortable leaving his brother alone with you, he went out hunting. He knew his brother wasn’t picky and would eat whatever he brought back. His priority was to catch something and get back as fast as possible.

He ended up catching a rabbit. On his way back home he was excited, surely Chobe would be proud of him for being able to pull his own weight. However, when he opened the door that was the farthest thing from his mind.

You and Chobe were sitting on the edge of the bed, facing away from him. His hand rested on the bed behind you while you leaned into his side. Both of your heads were down as if you were whispering to each other.

Toma wasn’t sure if he should say anything until his older brother rolled his head back to look at him, “Did something happen?”

Chobe stood up and walked towards him, “No.” You still sat on the bed with your head down. “Whatcha got there?”

“Rabbit,” Toma felt like his brother was trying to distract him. From what though? From you? What happened when he was gone?

“Good job,” Chobe patted his shoulder and pulled him outside, “You know how to skin it right? Or do I gotta teach you?”

“No, I can do it.” Toma was still unsure of what was happening but he let it go. Deciding to focus on Chobe’s health. When he came back inside you bid them both goodbye and left for the night.

With you gone, he wanted to ask about what happened when he left but instead let his brother eat and get his sleep. You showed up the next day though. Acting normal, like nothing had happened. Maybe it was all in his head.

In the months that you spent with them, Toma noticed that you didn’t really say much. You mostly kept to yourself and you didn’t ask them about their lives.

Maybe that's why you showed up that day he and Chobe arrived. You might’ve been visiting the abandoned house long before they took refuge in it. Toma figured you weren’t very social, maybe this secluded area was your escape from the village and its people. You didn’t speak much to his brother either, or at least that's what he thought.

Occasionally, he would leave you and Chobe to hunt or get water. He hadn’t caught you two sitting close like he had the first night. He concluded that it was all in his head after all. Until it was time for the brothers to move on.

Chobe was mostly healed and they would be able to leave within the next week or two. One day, before you arrived the two brothers went to the river to get water and, if possible, a fish.

“I’ve been thinkin’,” Chobe spoke, “I think Y/N should come with us.”

Toma looked at his brother in confusion before he realized, Y/N was you. In all the months you had been helping them, he didn’t know your name. 

But Chobe did and you probably knew their names. It all made sense, the night he caught the rabbit, the way Chobe kept looking at you, how he would act around you. He would be his usual brash, vulgar, self until you would show up. He was quiet and gentle with you.

You two were together, you must have been. And you would wait until he was gone to have your intimate moments. Toma wondered if you two had already talked about you going with them. Perhaps running away with the man you loved was a fantasy of yours, “Does she want to come with us?”

“Dunno, wanted to know if you were fine with it first.” His answer filled Toma with mirth. His big brother always thought of him first. Maybe meeting you was fate. You were the calm to Chobe’s storm. He wanted his brother to be happy and if he was happy with you Toma didn’t want to get in the way, “It’s okay with me.”

Toma tried to speak to you more. If you were the source of his brother's happiness then he wanted you to like him. And he wanted to know what it was that attracted Chobe to you in the first place. All you replied with were polite smiles and short answers but you didn’t seem to dislike him.

A few nights before they planned to leave, Toma went hunting and came back to your laugh. When he walked through the door he was greeted with the sight of you smiling, ear to ear, at his brother. He knew that Chobe asked you that night and he knew that you said yes.

Toma was excited for you to go with them. Maybe he would get to see his brother's softer side and he could do the teasing for a change. Your travels ended up being very different than he was expecting.

He had been so sure that the two of you were in a relationship. Saving your affection for when you two were alone. But now that the three of you had to be together all day every day it would be impossible for you two to hide your love from him. However, not that much changed. You and Chobe hadn’t talked much and no displays of affection had been shared.

Toma, of course, hadn’t expected his brother to turn into a sweet cuddly teddy bear but he expected something. A sneaky kiss, maybe a hug every once in a while, at least a conversation.

Even when the three of you slept in the same bed, Chobe hadn’t wrapped an arm around you or anything. The only ‘affectionate’ thing he had done was ask if you needed help pulling herbs.

Maybe the two of you weren’t in a relationship, but he was certain there was something there. Otherwise, Chobe wouldn’t have wanted to bring you along. Toma kept thinking back to the night he caught the two of you leaning into each other.

There was no way whatever was going on between you two was friendship. It had to be deeper than that. At times he felt guilty. Did you two feel like you couldn’t be close because he was around? Though neither of you seemed to mind. And when he’d asked his brother if he should leave for a little while, Chobe asked, “What for?”

Toma sighed as he watched the sunset. Soon he’d have to head back inside the house that the three of you had ‘borrowed’ from a man who pushed Chobe’s buttons a little too hard. If there was anything Toma had worried about, it was how you’d react to his brother's violence. It didn’t seem to bother you thankfully.

If he’d paid enough attention he would’ve seen it. The gleam in your eyes when you watched Chobe’s display of aggression. Or the way your thighs pressed together when he mauled the man, frothing at the mouth like a feral dog.

Toma laid next to you in bed. You were awake, probably waiting for Chobe to finish cleaning up and climb into bed with you two. Toma wasn’t too worried about the empty side of the bed, opting to fall asleep and get the day over with. He was usually a heavy sleeper. No amount of shaking or yelling could get him up. But to be honest, the stress was getting to him.

That’s probably how he woke up in the middle of the night to the bed shaking under him accompanied by your hushed moans and whimpers. In his groggy state, he didn’t register what was happening at first until he heard what he presumed to be Chobe’s balls slapping against your thighs

What the fuck? What the fuck? His brother was fucking you in the same bed as him. Did this happen every night? He didn’t know what to do. Should he pretend to be asleep? Should he get up and lea-"Chobe!” 

Reaching out to grip something, you ended up grabbing Toma’s arm. “Fuck, right there!” Toma had to stop himself from reacting to your sudden touch. Your top half was closer now. He felt your boobs bouncing against his arm to the rhythm of Chobe’s harsh thrusts. Your face centimeters away from his, begging for his brother to give you more right in his ear, “Harder Chobe.”

“Bark an order at me again and I’ll stop,” Chobe growled, Toma didn’t know if he wanted you two to stop or just get this over with. God, he was so embarrassed. He didn’t know how he’d be able to look either of you in the eye the next day.
