Part 2: Trouble in Paradise

It had been two weeks since you moved into Seonghwa’s estate.  You had finally grown accustomed to your new home and your fiance.  He wasn’t extravagantly in love with you.  He was subtle.  He’d listen to you when you spoke.  Really listen.  He would never pressure you into things you weren’t comfortable with.  Eunha laughed at how you two would always sit way too far from each other.  He smiled more.

“I’ll be off now,” Seonghwa stated as he put his shoes on at the front entrance of the estate.  

You didn’t know what to do.  Do you just say goodbye?  Do you hug him?  You decided to move in closer.  

“Can you lean down,” you asked timidly.

Seonghwa didn’t know what was going on.  You were never bold.  You always kept your distance.  Most likely because you were nervous about getting close.  Probably because you were scared.  His inquiries were answered when you started patting his head gently.

“Why are you petting my head,” he asked puzzled.  Of all things, that was not what he had expected.

You pulled your hand away fast.  What the heck am I doing, you wondered.  “I don’t know.  I…I…”

“It’s okay.  It’s very sweet of you.  Goodbye Love.  I’ll see you tonight”

She waved to him as he walked down the stone pathway.  She was truly going to miss him.  The way he always made sure was okay with anything that went on inside the estate.  The way he reassured her that she was safe here.  The way he treated her like a person instead of something worthless. Little did she know that she’d be seeing him sooner than she thought.

As everyone reading this knows, Seonghwa was in love with you.  But there was one thing that Seonghwa hated about his fiance.

“How’s my favorite brother in law doing,” Minho said cheerfully following his commander into their daily meeting.  Minho loved to point out the fact that he was soon going to be family with his grumpy friend.

“Is that really necessary,” Seonghwa asked, the small vein in his forehead popping out.  While yes, he did care about Minho, he was still an unavoidable irritation sometimes.

“I’m just happy that she’s safe.  So, is she doing well?”

“Commander Park,” a soft voice interrupted the pair.  When they looked over, they saw you.  You were dressed in a beautiful peach hanbok that made your eyes sparkle.  A blush was creeping up Seonghwa’s cheeks.  Minho would have said something, but he was just in shock at how happy you looked.

“You forgot your lunch,” you said sheepishly, handing him his lunch, “I wanted to make sure that you…”

“Thank you, Love,” Seonghwa answered, taking the lunch box from you.  “You look beautiful.”

You turned a deep shade of pink.  Minho raised an eyebrow at the whole thing.  For a man who told him that he can’t promise he’d love her, he sure seems to be in love.

“It’s like I’m not even here,” Minho complained as he watched the two.

“I should probably get home,” you said shyly, “you probably have a lot of work to do today.”

“I’ll see you at home.”

You smiled as you bowed, quickly departing.  As you walked away, Seonghwa’s smile grew larger.  Yeah, he was in love.  He hoped the day would end soon, so he could see you.

You were so happy to be back home.  It felt weird to call this place home.  There was so much love surrounding it, even if Seonghwa wasn’t the best at showing it.  You headed towards the garden of the estate.  As you looked out from the terrace, you knew that there was something missing in the garden.  You’d discuss that with Seonghwa later.  Suddenly, your thoughts of flowers and plants were interrupted by a crashing sound from inside the house.

You ran into the house and saw Eunha, bloody and bruised on the floor.  “Eunha, are you okay,” you said, kneeling down to help her.  

You saw out of the corner of your eye that someone was behind you two.  You turned around and froze.  Your father was here.  He approached you with such terrifying anger that you’d never seen before.

“You think you can run away!” your father screamed, as he grabbed your hair pulling you along behind him, “I have plans for you.”

You tried to grab onto anything that could potentially ground you or you could attack him with, but nothing was of use.  You thought about Seonghwa.  Did he tell your father that he didn’t love you?  If he did love you, would he come for you?  You hoped that he would.

But when Seonghwa arrived home, the house was in disrepair.  Vases were shattered on the ground.  Taperasties were ripped.  The doors were destroyed on the floor.  He ventured further into the estate on high alert.  The intruder could still be here.  Then, the color suddenly drained from his face.

“Eunha!  What happened here,” he yelled, rushing over to the head maid.  Eunha was struggling to get up off the ground.  Her arms gave out as she tried.  Seonghwa caught her and helped her up.

“Madam Park is gone,” she weakly stated, “Her father came for her.  I tried to help her, but he…”

Seonghwa's eyes went dark.  Her father agreed to this marriage, so why would he come back for her?  There was something he was missing, and he knew exactly who to ask.

Enhypen AUs

So the plots for my Enhypen project have been decided. I hope to post these eventually, but yeah. I’ve got lost of WIP to do. But here are the plots. I started writing Niki’s originally for an OC but I know people aren’t the biggest fans of OCs so I’ll make it reader insert like the rest. Let me know if you wanna be on the taglist for any of these or if you have any thoughts:

(Niki) Delinquent/School AU: Riki Nishimura has lived a hard life.  After another stint in a juvenile detention center, he is back.  His plan to go back to his normal life backfires when he meets his new neighbor, a girl who is the opposite of him.  He finds out that she’s what he’s always been missing.  Will he be able to keep her safe without losing her?

(Heeseung) Mafia AU: Heeseung was untouchable and always had been.  To the world he was cold.  To you, he was loving.  When he starts receiving candid photos of you from anonymous sources, he slowly starts to become paranoid and uncontrollable.  Can your marriage and his empire survive or will everything around him fall apart?

(Sunoo) Fantasy AU: As a gumiho, Sunoo knows how to play with someone's emotions.  One day he finds the most beautiful girl he’s ever seen.  When he sees another gumiho stalking her, he takes action and save her.  He decides to disguise as a human, earning her trust before consuming her heart, liver and soul.  But as he spends more time with her, he realizes a new desire: a desire to become human for her.  But how does he do that without her finding out?

(Jungwon) Arranged Marriage AU: Yours and Jungwon’s marriage was just for show.  You barely acknowledged each other in your penthouse.  After a health scare, Jungwon is forced to take time off.  What happens when you two have to face your marital issues and realize you two want it all to be real?

(Jake) Sci-fi AU: Jake Sim has lived a relatively normal life.  Until one day, his father vanishes and Jake’s attacked by a group of rebels.  He’s saved by another group of rebels known as Vamfield.  Jake finds out about his father’s project: Project Vamfield.  Project Vamfield was experimenting on young people to create supersoldiers for the government.  Basically, vampire kids who fight for the government.  As secrets are revealed, Jake learns that his life isn’t exactly how it seems.

(Sunghoon) Figure Skater AU: You grew up around two things: figure skating and Park Sunghoon.  Growing up with a heart condition stopped your career before it started.  But you refused to let that stop you from spending time at the rink.  Along the way, you became Sunghoon’s biggest cheerleader.  Sunghoon wanted nothing more than the top spot and his personal life suffered because of it.  After a major media meltdown and his obsession with winning, Sunghoon’s coach, who's also your dad, makes him teach skating for beginners until he learns how to control himself emotionally.  With your help, can this Ice Prince find his love for skating again?

(Jay) Non-idol AU: Jay moves to a small town to open the restaurant he’s always dreamed of.  There’s one problem.  He doesn’t know anything about living a simple life or running a restaurant.  But he’s sure as hell gonna pretend he does. Then he meets the girl who works at her family’s bakery next door to Jay’s restaurant and knows nothing more than her small town.  The two make a deal.  She helps him figure out his life here while he shows her a life beyond this small town.

Bang Chan x 9th Member Female Reader: Peaches

No one knew that Bang Chan was allergic to peaches, the fruit, not his girlfriend. But they all found it really funny that he ended up dating a girl whose stage name was Peaches. And now that they knew about his allergy, the boys were definitely going to use it against him.

It was another long day in the studio for 3racha. Chan was tired but also happy that you were coming. All he wanted right now was a cuddle from you.  But recording still needed done.  By the time you finally walked into the studio to do your session, Chan was in desperate need of a hug.  The moment his chair turned around and your eyes met, he opened his arms wide.  As you started to walk over to him, Han hurried you into the recording booth.

“Let’s get this recording going,” he said gently pushing you in and closing the door and walking back to the couch.  Chan sat there puzzled.  He always got at least five minutes to just cuddle with you.  It always gave him a mood boost which made recording go a lot better.

“Han,” he questioned, turning his chair to face the younger man, “what the hell?  What happened to my mandatory time with Peaches?”

Changbin, who’d been sitting quietly this whole time (much to everyone’s shock), finally contributed, “Hyung, you’re allergic to Peaches.  Which means if you cuddle with Mother Wolf, you could die!  And we can’t be Stray Kids without you.”

You giggled as Chan sighed.  Oh how he wished he never shared that fact or gave you the nickname all those years ago.  While you, you were going to enjoy how your boys were going to torture their leader with this little fact about him.

Dance practice was always a nice time for you and Chan.  During breaks, he'd hold you close and cuddle even if he was a sweaty mess.  You loved it secretly.  But today was different.  

“Mother Wolf,” Felix asked, hugging you tightly, “can you cuddle with me today?”

“I’d gladly give you cuddles,” you replied smiling as you sat down with him.  He rested his head lightly on your shoulder.  

Chan marched over, “Felix, are you okay?  Did something happen?”

Chan was genuinely concerned.  Felix did need attention sometimes, but he never was like this.

“I’m fine hyung,” the younger Australian replied, lifting his head off your shoulder, “I don’t want you to get itchy and be distracted all practice.  You’ll never learn the dance that way.”

 He could kind of put up with that.  You were the group mom, so the boys would cuddle too.  No big deal.

Minho was a different story.  He crossed the line.  Ever since the start, you’d always be put near if not next to Chan.  It wasn’t because he was your boyfriend.  It was because he always reassured you throughout the performance.  He made you feel less nervous.  But not today!  Minho put you on the complete other side.  He stayed the further away, the healthier he’d be and better he’d do.  Chan was gonna go all Predebut Han on him.  But you just laughed and said Minho was right.

At the end of practice, everyone was exhausted.  Chan flops on the floor next to you, trying to catch his breath.  You walk over to him, his water bottle in hand.  You go to hand it to Chan when it’s snatched right out of your hand by Hyunjin.  “What the hell man,” Chan breathes out sitting up.

Hyunjin takes his clean towel and starts wiping it off.  “Gotta disinfect it,” he answered, eyes focused and brows furrowed as he wiped off the bottle.

You laughed, “I can’t believe I forgot.  Thanks Hyunjin.  It’s sweet you're looking out for him.”

Chan gave you side eye.  You were lucky you were cute.

Every month you, Seungmin and Jeongin have a vocalracha live where you talked about life, songs you were listening to and on occasion sang some karaoke.  Today, you three were doing the live at the Dimple Dorm aka Chan and Jeongin’s dorm.  You technically have your own dorm, but you just use it for storage and stay with your boyfriend and the maknae.  

The three of you had been laughing and having a good time when suddenly you hear, “Peaches!  Innie!  I’m home.”  You went to get up to see Chan, but Seungmin and Innie hugged you tightly, not letting you get up.

Meanwhile, Chan was getting worried.  Usually after a long day in the studio, you’d be there to greet him or at least give him some sign that you were alive.  “Peaches?  You okay?”

The two youngest heard it.  But refused to let go.

“We should really tell Chan where we are,” you said concerned, breaking out of their hold on you.  You were always there to greet Chan.  And judging by the eighteen “where are you? Are you okay? texts, he was worried.

“No,” Innie exclaimed.  Hearing the loud yell from Innie tipped Chan off as to where you three were.  He quietly walked to Innie’s door and opened it quietly to see if he’d say why the youngest two wouldn’t let you leave.

“If you go out there,” I.N started, “Chan might give you a hug.  And if he does he could go into Ana-phylactic shock.”

Chan couldn’t be mad.  He was just impressed Innie knew what anaphylactic shock was.

it shouldn’t have been like this. you were older than him by a few years and you were his senior, but that didn’t stop jake from having a massive crush on you.

both the fans and his members knew how much he looked up to you as a role model, but they also knew about his slight attraction to you.

at award shows, whenever you passed by him, he became a blushing, stuttering, shy mess. the usual, charismatic jake gone within a second.

now, it’s not like he didn’t know you personally, he did! you two were good friends, but that was it. just friends. two idols who had packed schedules. two idols who couldn't date because dating was a crime in this industry.

but after all these years of friendship that he so desperately wanted to mean something more, he still couldn’t muster up the courage to confess. there were many factors that scared him such as the media, fans reactions, company restrictions, blah blah blah. but nothing scared him more than the idea that you might not take him seriously and just see him as a little boy.

sure, he was a bit unserious when he was with you, but he never thought about it that hard until one evening where he was scrolling through comments between you, himself, and lee know from his senior group, stray kids.

lee know was closer to your age, meaning he had more to relate to with you. the thought of that twisted something in jake’s gut as he endlessly scrolled through comments that called him a young kid following you around, or comments that shipped you and lee know because you were both similar in maturity, close in age, and had matching personalities.

so one night, at a particularly “evil” brand party (as jake worded it), where you and lee know were chatting in the corner, jake was not too far away, watching with tunnel vision.

he didn’t like how close lee know was to you. he didn’t like how his gaze held yours so intently. and even though he’d never admit it, he was jealous deep down and just a little bit insecure. was he too young and immature for you?

“lighten up dude, you’re drilling holes in the back of both their heads,” sunghoon teases, bumping jake’s shoulder.

“or go man up and claim your place,” jay shrugs, sipping his drink.

and jake wasn’t sure if it was the adrenaline or the alcohol speaking when he processed what jay said for two seconds and then decided it was a good idea, leaving his two ride or dies in shock.

he made his way over to you, carefully weaving through a crowd of celebrities, avoiding bodies dancing in his way.

“hey sweets, i didn’t get a chance to talk to you yet today,” he smoothly slides into your conversation, his hand finding the small of your back.

your eyes light up the minute you see him, leaning into his touch.

“jakey! hi! you look so good, wow!” you gasp, checking out the suit he was styled in.

“if you don’t mind, i’m gonna steal her away now,” jake flashes one of his competitive smirks at lee know before guiding you to a more private corner.

“jakey? what’s up?” you ask, observing the furrow in his brows and the way his lips were slightly pink from him biting them. a nervous habit of his sometimes.

“mm, didn’t like him all close to you,” he huffs, his sulky expression adding to your cuteness aggression for him.

“you’re cute jealous,” you laugh lightly. “you like me or something?” you tease.

to be honest, you knew he kinda liked you, but hearing him say it himself boosted your ego slightly.

“i’m not jealous! well- maybe a bit..but besides that!” he groans, his words coming out in a spill. jake's patience was running thin and seeing you all cozy with lee know was the last straw.

his frustration takes over and he cups your cheeks with his right hand, leaning in dangerously close.

“god i’ve loved you since the day i met you,” he growls against your lips. “let me show you how responsible i am sweetheart, i promise i’ll take good care of you. let me show you how much better of a choice i am.”

you nod slightly, whispering a quiet “i’ve loved you since forever as well you idiot.” you hold his gaze before he leans in and presses his lips on yours.

“i’m never letting you go after this, you’re mine, sweets.”

Han Jisung x 9th Member Female Reader: Mori

Han had dealt with panic attacks for a long time.  He thought he got them under control.  He knew what he needed to do to keep them at bay.  Yet sometimes, it was really hard for him.  It was…until he had someone to help him out.

ISAC was supposed to be fun.  A competition between different kpop groups, what’s not to love?  Well, Han had one thing.  The crowd.  He could feel it coming.  The raising heart.  His body was shaking.  He looked over at Seungmin.  “Seungmin,” he said, grabbing his arm, “I…need…to…”

Seungmin nodded and led Han out of the arena.  You were laughing with the other boys when you felt it.  Something was off.  You looked around for Han, but he wasn’t with you guys.  You had a feeling that it wasn’t just him going off to the bathroom or something like that.  Then you saw Han and Seungmin leaving.  You ran over to them.  If Han was struggling, you wanted, no, you needed to be there for him.

“Seungmin,” you yelled as you approached the two, “you head back to the guys.  I got this.”

“Okay,” he answered, looking back at Han one more time.  You held Han’s hand as you led him into a private hallway.  “Let’s sit down,” you instructed quietly.  Han slid down onto the floor, still struggling to breathe.  You grabbed his chubby cheeks (the only correct way to describe them), “it’s gonna be okay Sungie.  Breathe with me.  In…and out.  In…and out.”

Han was still struggling as he followed your instructions.  He was trying, but he still felt overwhelmed by it all.  He noticed the pained expression on your face.  The panic in your eyes.  And he tried.  Really, really hard.  His breath started to even out.  His mind wasn’t clouded by the panic anymore.  When he felt okay, he pulled you into his chest, wrapping his arms around you tightly.

“Thank you,” he whispered.  He didn’t need to thank you, you’d do it no matter what.

His heart was raising.  Sweat was already running down his face.  It was just a performance.  He’s done it tons of times, but the number of people and the bright lights just overwhelmed his mind so much today.  You noticed.  Any change in his emotions was a big red flag to you that he needed someone.  But you two had to perform.  Throughout the whole performance, Han wasn’t him.  He was just going through the motions and nothing more.  When it ended, he was on the verge of tears.  You wanted to run over to him and comfort him.  But you knew that would only expose everything.

Once you were backstage, you didn’t hesitate to run over and hug him.  Han’s eyes moved down to the pressure holding his torso.  “Breathe in, breathe out,” you quietly said, “please.”

Han focused on your breathing.  Breathe in, breathe out.  The crowd was gone.  The performance was over.  At that moment, it was just the two of you.  He felt himself breathing normally again.  He just held you closer and kissed the top of your head.  The chaos and pressure was gone, replaced with a calm that he never wanted to lose.

You ran out of the studio in a hurry.  Your chest felt tight.  Everything was too much.  You weren’t sure what was going on anymore.  Walls were spinning.  Tears were running down your cheeks, eyeliner and mascara running down your cheeks as you struggled to breathe.  The pressure, the fear of disappointment, it was all coming at once.  You didn’t want any of them to see you like this.  You didn’t want Han to see you like this.  You slid down to the floor and pulled your knees to your chest.

“Darling,”  Han came out and kneeled in front of you, “I need you to focus on my voice.”

You nodded.

“Breathe in….breathe out….breathe in….breathe out.”

You followed his instructions, feeling the pressure dissipate.    You didn’t want to look at him.  You were embarrassed.  You looked like a mess.   You were his calm when the storms were heavy.  You weren’t supposed to be weak.

“You’re doing great,” he said softly, “there’s no need for tears.  They’re gonna love it.  No need to panic or think about something that hasn’t and won’t happen.  Okay?”

“I feel like an idiot,” you said as you rested your chin on your knees,  "I'm supposed to be your rock when you panic.”

“You don’t have to be calm all the time.  We’re partners in all of this.  We don’t have to define who’s calm and who’s not.  We’re whoever the other needs when they need it.  And I love the calm you and the you that panics because she wants everything to like it.  Okay?”  He moved to sit next to you, pulling you into his side.

I've been really really inactive recently when I said I'd have a schedule. My life has been super hectic lately Plus, I have been working on my Enhypen fic and I was determined to get it done so I can just kept writing it until I got it all written. I just finished writing it and sent it to my beta reader. Once it's beta read and all edits are done, I'll start posting chapters for it again.

Nothing new is coming for My Demon soon because I've got no ideas on what to write.

I have a 9th member fic to post which I should post this Friday. I'll get back to writing those again.

As I mentioned before, I'm going to focus on writing the Ateez AUs for Hongjoong and Seonghwa for the moment. I have two later fics in the works for Seonghwa and I am brainstorming a filler fic for Hongjoong's AU.

I have a few requests which I still have to figure out what to do with. I'll be busy, but I promise stuff is coming.

More updates. Specifically on the Enhypen fic. It's probably not being posted. Ever. I finished writing it. And I had my beta reader read part of it. For context, my beta reader and I agreed that she should be brutal. Like so brutal it could make me cry (maybe not that bad, but I want her to be honest even if it hurts my feelings). And it's rushed. Really rushed. I thought about rewriting it, but this fic has frustrated me on so many levels that I can't even look at it without wanting to throw my laptop out a window. So if anyone is really interested in it, let me know and maybe if enough people really want it, I'll post the rest, but as of now, it's not happening.

So right when the reader wakes up from anesthesia she’s a little confused on where she is and what’s happening. (she’s not freaking out she’s just out of it) So she keeps calling for Chan like “where’s chan?” “I need chan” (The other members try to calm her down but Chan is the only one who can do it) and right as chan hears the reader call for him, he immediately runs to her and comforts her. He holds her hand and rubs her back while telling her it’s okay
