Although it wasn't planned, Downey's final MCU film ended in a similar fashion as his first. The very end of Iron Man saw Stark admit he was now a superhero by saying "I am Iron Man" to the press. This phrase was repeated at the end of Iron Man 3 when Tony momentarily got rid of his suits. However, the four-word declaration became even more important when they became the final words Tony Stark said in Avengers: Endgame before he died. While the Avengers: Endgame line was added at the last second, the original line at the end of Iron Man was improvised by Downey on set. With just this single line, he managed to change the MCU's future just as it was beginning. (x)
