These are some old comic pages for my Very Blue AU. I’m really proud of the layout, but I’m not sure this is how I would put these exact scenes now... if that makes sense. Anyway, here it is. (Also listen to Jekyll and Hyde the musical, I prefer the older version, but it’s so good!)

I just wanna take some time to appreciate that all the perma fusions are literally soulmates

If you take some time to inspect them closely you'll see what I mean...

First of with the most obvious one out of the bunch

Garnet, we all know Ruby and Sapphire fit each other perfectly, even their gemstones match

Sapphire's gemstone on the left hand, and Ruby's gemstone on the right, making it perfectly symmetrical when they fuse

Topaz, again, perfectly symmetrical

One topaz with a right ear gem and one topaz with a left ear gem

Lemon Jade, symmetrical

One left cheek gem and one right cheek gem

And even the fusions who gems aren't on each side are still perfectly symmetrical

Rhodonite and Fluorite are perfect examples of this, instead of having their gemstones on each sides of their body, they're going downwards, Rhodonite has her gems on her chest and navel, and Fluorite has two gems on her forehead, three on her chest, and one on her stomach, but she's still symmetrical

I just find it so amazing how this show has a literal representation of soulmates, showing how two people can fit together perfectly like two puzzle pieces and become symmetrical when their together
