Went rock climbing after work yesterday. We were planning to go to the gym but the weather was sooo nice and then Ben suggested going to this crag that's a ~40 min drive away and no walk in and I was like omg yes. A friend was also down so we all finished work as early as possible and met up to drive there! We did not account for traffic in our plan 🤣 and got lost at the very end because of road works so it took over 1.5 hours in the end. But it was fine, hadn't seen the friend in a while so we had a nice catch up, and we stopped to get snacks and just had a lot of fun. The actual climbing wasn't that good, we've been there before and the quality of the rock is dubious haha. I tried one lead but bailed pretty quickly because I was sooo scared :( so I stuck to toprope. It sucks but I still hope I'll get back to leading eventually... anyway. It was a great evening with friends, and I did have fun on some of the climbs. And it feels kind of mad that I get to go rock climbing on a work day!

If you never step outside of where you're comfortable, how can you grow?
Climb higher, push harder, and learn everything the is to know about yourself!
I mean, never be afraid to take it easy sometimes; but a life without difficulties is not a life lived.

We’ve finally got everything we need to do indoor climbing!
Honestly, it’s a relief because up until now we’ve been surviving by borrowing other people’s rope.
Shoes are both Tenaya, Harnesses are both Jay II (Edelrid) and the rope is Sterling, Evolution (This one is quite long (60) since we want to eventually try outdoor stuff.)
We tried it out at Skypia in Fukushima yesterday and it was great! It also helped that we were basically the only ones in that gym. :)
Amazing climbing day in Jerica with this international group of people! Mâsi (@apropos.online) from Switzerland, Luke (@lukeislegend) from USA and Lisa (@lizzzaaaa) from USA with Mexican roots! We climbed many technical routes in the morning with this motivated crew who is doing a remote year, right now spending a month in Valencia! We hope you enjoy your stay in the city!
