Finally got to be the bae at a convention
The weather was actually nice yesterday, so Nikki and I took some silly pics with the tiger statue!! These photos actually look really nice??? 😆💕
Im also happy I FINALLY rewore sweatervest Goro since Anime North 2017.. its been a WHILE! I definitely have a glowup since then!
What’s this? Tis a Cosplay Announcement!
Finally! Another con is upon us! As far as my typical year’s schedule of conventions go, I’m so excited for the one coming up so soon:
RIT’s Tora-Con 2019!
As those familiar with my blog will know, I’m a massive fan of Dragon Age, and I’m excited to announce that I’ve got a full Dragon Age lineup for the weekend! I’ve decided to post my lineup here instead of just rambling and posting progress updates to my IG stories on daughter.of.war, and in the hopes that someone on Tumblr’ll see that a DA fan is going to Toracon, because, so far, I haven’t seen any DA cosplays being posted about on IG or Toracon’s app...
(God bless @tora-con for this adorable and very useful template!)
On Saturday, I’m going to be cosplaying as Warden Brosca, my tiny, adorable, dual-wielding dwarf commoner! This’ll be her first convention debut, and I’m super excited! I’m working my ass off to get her finished before the con, and all I have left to do is cover the fabric in furniture vinyl bronto leather and wait for my second latex LARP dagger to come in the mail! Since I’m planning on staying until around 11 at night (which I can more easily do now that I’m finally 18, thank god), I’m excited to be wearing a cosplay I can move easily in!
As for Sunday, I’m breaking out my lovely Warden Tabris again! I’ve worn her to smaller cons, and I’m so eager to finally get to show her off at Toracon! Having worn her before, and having actually won a small cosplay contest at RIT’s Spookfest last October, I’m feeling super confident and excited! Thankfully, Sunday’s a shorter day, meaning I won’t be spending too long in a too-small wedding dress and a waist-trainer!
Anyway, don’t be shy about messaging me! If you’re a follower of mine on this blog or @a-gay-bloodmage or going to the con as a DA fan, I’d love to meet you! Both Brosca and Tabris are very friendly Wardens! ^^
If you're an RIT student or in the area early, we're teaming up with RIT Dining to bring you a one-night-only convention themed dinner at Gracie's!
This dinner will run from 4:30pm - 7:30pm on Thursday, March 21st and will feature a miniature Cosplay Contest, My Hero Academia showings, and an all-you-can-eat anime/comic con themed menu created by Chef Daniel Morales!
Dinner price is $13, or $11.70 with RIT Dining Dollars. Hope to see you there!
And some assorted Taako selfies ;)
