but just when he tried to execute you, sending some of his soldiers after you, jin had come to safe you. as a fellow flesheater and victim of amalthus, he just had to help you!

summary: you overhear an argument between patroka and akhos, in which patroka reveals how much she cares about you…

“why would you say something like that!?”

patroka's voice echoed through the monoceros, clearly angry. well, not like she wasn't angry about something at all times. but this time, it sounded like more than just some stupid joke from mikhail that made her eyes roll. this time, she was angry.

“patroka, hear me out…”

the other voice was akhos. as you quietly snuck closer, you could see the two of them through the gap in the door. and while you knew you shouldn't listen in on their conversation – or else patroka would be this angry with you – you couldn't help yourself. you wanted to know what had managed to upset her so much.

“don't even think about going there…” patroka quietly warned akhos, shooting a glare at him. “we are not sending y/n on that mission! they're still new and it'd basically be a suicide mission! without backup, they're not making it out of there alive…”

you froze when you heard your name mentioned. patroka was this upset because… she was protecting you?

“i'm not trying to get them killed!” akhos defended his plan. “but they need to step up eventually. if they can't hold their own, then they have no place in torn–”

“say one more thing and i swear to the architect, akhos–”

patroka seemed even more livid now than before. you almost wanted to open the door and step in, but just when you thought about it, patroka headed towards the door instead, causing you to quickly hide behind it.

“you can tell me the new plan tomorrow…” patroka spoke, clearly forcing herself to stay civil. she was likely only leaving because she knew she'd start an even bigger fight otherwise. “…but it better not involve you putting y/n in danger again. otherwise i'll end your life before your foolishness ends theirs.”
