"You're against trans kids."

Yes. Yes I freaking am. Because they're too young to transition.

I don't give a crap what a fully developed adult chooses to do with their own body because it's literally none of my business and I don't wanna be a cult leader controlling everyone and everything.

But you are actually crazy if you think I'm gonna support transitioning kids when they're under 18. We all collectively agree that kids are:

Too young to have sex Too young to drink alcohol Too young to get tattoos Too young to get certain jobs Too young to be outside by themselves depending on their age and area Too young to use the internet at times

But you think a five year old is old enough and has the maturity to make PERMANENT bodily changes they can't reverse? Are you actually [BLEEPING] kidding me?

I'd rather have my child hate me for not transitioning them while they're young, than for me TO do that very thing, and then they HATE ME when they realize it's not what they wanted.

If you have your own money and you're an adult, you do you boo. I have no control over your life. But there's no way in literal hell (not even trying to curse, this is just a fact) that I am ever EVER going to support transitioning children while they're underage. Never.

Trans people should have rights. Just not the rights to actively destroy a child's body before their brain is capable of actual critical thinking.

Hello! I think this ask may help answer your question.Scripture doesn’t have to directly use the word “transgenderism” for us to know that transgenderism is against His will. We are all created by Him with a specific gender. Purposely dressing to appear as the opposite gender or going so far as to surgically attempt to change that gender is against His will and how He created a person. Like I mentioned in that ask I provided the link to, scripture makes it clear that we are not to dress or make ourselves appear as the opposite gender. So the first point to consider is that many people who identify as transgender do not necessarily have cosmetic surgery, but rather, choose to leave their genitals alone and decide to only dress in a way to appear the opposite sex (e.g.: women binding their chests to appear more masculine; men wearing wigs, makeup, and dresses to appear as a woman, etc). So we can definitely see how this portion of scripture directly applies in this scenario.Second, keep in mind that since scripture says intentionally dressing/appearing as the opposite gender is considered an abomination by Him, it’s safe to make the assumption that surgically altering one’s genitals and/or other areas of the body to appear as the opposite gender definitely falls into the same category as an even more extreme and permanent form of making oneself appear as the opposite gender. Even though the verse itself doesn’t talk about genital reassignment surgery, we can see that it’s the same concept. In our current world, various cosmetic procedures have been developed to alter a person’s body to appear as the opposite gender. Back in the days when Biblical scripture came into existence, things such as cosmetic surgery procedures or even the term “transgender” itself didn’t exist. However, gender dysphoria always existed; it’s a product of this broken world. There were always individuals who attempted to appear as the opposite gender and they did the best they could with what was available to them - which in the days Biblical scripture was documented, I would assume they were limited to just wearing clothes of the opposite gender. And because cross dressing was likely the most common way people embraced transgenderism back then, it makes sense that the verse exists specifically telling people not to cross dress because it is unacceptable to Him. The take home point from this verse in Deuteronomy is that the act of trying to alter one’s gender is an abomination to Him - so we can draw the conclusion any measures taken with the motivation of altering one’s gender would be considered unacceptable in His eyes.

Hanayome wa Motodanshi

I know I have like 2 followers that are not p*rn blogs, but I really wanted to let people know about this little Manga I found.

Its name is Hanayome wa Motodanshi. It means, I believe “The bride was a boy”, or “My wife is an ex-guy” (those are the two “official” translations I found). I was discussing with a friend about the comics about trangenderism one can usually find on tumblr, Facebook, or any other social media, and how they are usually very negative and sometimes even cisphobic. I was very unhappy with that, because I would have liked people to use comics and drawings to spread positive messages towards both transgender people and allies. Some time later, this friend sent me a link to this little Manga named Hanayome wa Motodanshi, telling me it was a very cute and positive story about transgenderism that I would enjoy. And heck I did ! Hanayome wa Motodanshi is a little Manga drawn by the blogger “Chii”, a transgender woman who used to draw her feelings and daily life on her blog, and then decided it would be interesting to have her story made into a Manga. It tells the story (her story) of a boy who wasn’t comfortable with being one, and, as “he” grew up, started crossdressing. One day, as “he” was hanging out with friends, “he” met a man who quite fast had a crush on her. When he asked her out, “he” told him “he” was a crossdresser, which the man had no problem accepting ! (Note : I will now refer to “him” as her because I believe she is a woman and nothing else. I did it differently in the beginning so it would be clearer she was born a boy, and as a boy, started crossdressing) It was only the beginning of their relationship, and back then she had no idea they would end up getting married; this is the beautiful story of how their relationship evolved until they got married, and how her husband encouraged her when she decided to go through transition before getting married.

This a really sweet story, with really cute drawings and its bunch of funny stories. It really conveys the couple’s feelings and shows what a person going through transition has to live. At the end of every chapter Chii gives a little explanation of differents LGBT+ terms she might or not have used in her story. It is adorable to read, and very instructing, be it by the story itself or by the notes the author gives.

You can find Chii’s original blog here. Its is entirely in Japanese, so it is not really accessible to everyone. But you can read her Manga translated here. I highly recommend it to anyone, be it transgender people wanting to read something relatable, and allies who want to understand transition better. The Manga is very clear and easy to understand, and you can find the synopsis on the website I linked to. I hope my presentation was clear enough, and it will encourage people to read this story ! I really think anyone would love it. If anyone has other recommandations of comics, manga or else like this one, I would very happily hear them !

Religious women that are uncomfortable with transwomen in their spaces have good reason.

Even if you believe in gender, even if you believe you have a female, or womanly soul.You shouldn’t have to share your identity with men. You shouldn’t have to swallow your doubt about his “woman’s soul”. See how he demands access to your body and mind? Women don’t do that. ​​​​​Is transgenderism a valid word to use, or is it offensive? It feels wrong, but I've never seen it used or written about negatively in GNC communities. From context, it always seems to be used as if it is defining a condition. If it is valid to use, how would you define it?

PW: I've never heard it discussed before in "gender circles".The top google hits are from detractors using it to describe transgender individuals in order to denounce them.TL;DR: (Intersectional) Feminism covers transgender rights pretty well. If you want to talk about people who are trans in general, I would use a term like "transgender Individuals"

You can also refer to the movement for transgender equality.

ND: If it is trying to be used as a term to describe the "condition" (uuuuugh) of being trans, well, that's no bueno in any case whatsoever.
