ppl who say trans men are privileged for being able to detransition and "become a woman" and therefore aren't oppressed are intentionally displaying their argument deceptively. they never mention trans women can do the same! nor do they mention the mental anguish that follows detransition?

i doubt these people have ever been forced or scared into detransitioning if you're starting or in transition / going back in the closet if you're pre-everything. i have experienced the latter. it is fucking excruciating. it feels like there's a person, your true self, locked up deep inside, trying to claw their way out, trying everything to be the person you're perceived as.

but yup! trans men are privileged.

trans men voicing their experiences with the unique discrimination they face for being transgender men (aka transandrophobia) isn't offensive or harmful to trans women voicing their experiences with transmisogyny because we are not, in fact, in competition for who has it worse and those two experiences do not contradict each other just the same as homophobia directed at gay men and homophobia directed at lesbians do not contradict each other. hope this helps

If you hate Trans men because they're men it does not matter if you "hate all men". If you wouldn't hate us if we didn't transition you're a transphobe. If you hate us because of how we're transitioning you're a transphobe. You're just a transphobe. You're a transphobe. What you're doing is transphobia.

If you insult Trans men with misogynistic language you're a transphobe and misogynist. You would call a cis men a whiny cunt would you? Or a birthday boy? idk, i just feel like if your primary argument against transandrophobia/antitransmasculinity theory is that you think it's transmisogynistic you're not being intellectually honest. who does it hurt when trans men and mascs coin a term to describe the intersection of transphobia and sexism as it most frequently affects them? because it does hurt trans men when they're told that they're not entitled to speak on the discrimination they themselves face.

what I'm hearing from people who oppose the antitransmasculinity movement is that transmisogyny is when trans men talk about their problems 👍, but obviously that's not true. i know that's not true. you know that's not true. so then what is the issue? genuinely, enlighten me. you want trans men to shut up and listen?
