wow okay two things

1. not all trans men want to medically transition. some trans men are nonbinary/gender nonconforming/simply dont want to medically transition and just want to or have socially transitioned and they will still experience sexism because they are still perceived by society as women.

2. just because a trans man does transition, a lot of the time he will be perceived as "doing masculinity wrong" by society or he may even be outed or still live in a town where everyone knows what he used to look like before medically transitioning and will therefore still be subjected to sexism because people see him as a failed man/woman.

we do not get the full male experience as soon as we start calling ourselves men. try actually listening to trans men when we discuss our oppression instead of assuming you know our fucking life experiences.

idk, i just feel like if your primary argument against transandrophobia/antitransmasculinity theory is that you think it's transmisogynistic you're not being intellectually honest. who does it hurt when trans men and mascs coin a term to describe the intersection of transphobia and sexism as it most frequently affects them? because it does hurt trans men when they're told that they're not entitled to speak on the discrimination they themselves face.

what I'm hearing from people who oppose the antitransmasculinity movement is that transmisogyny is when trans men talk about their problems 👍, but obviously that's not true. i know that's not true. you know that's not true. so then what is the issue? genuinely, enlighten me. you want trans men to shut up and listen? I do not like the "reclaiming" of the term (t)MRA by certain transmascs on here. I don't like it at all.

The MRA movement is literally the manosphere. It's anti-feminist incel shit. It's patriarchal slop. I don't know why anyone would want to be associated with that, even if it's just in name. This goes doubly so because of the way TERFs often call trans women "MRAs", come on. Can NONE OF YOU see how that is in TERRIBLE taste?

If you get compared to a nasty movement of bigots (even unjustly), and your response is to "reclaim" that comparison, I'm side-eyeing you so fucking hard.

Yeah, living in a foster home where you were mistreated for being queer will make you resentful of people trying to silence your identity.

Yeah, being a victim of a hate crime and SA when you come out will make you defensive towards people who express hate towards your identity.

Yeah, being in an abusive relationship where you were forced to detransition and were literally physically beat up if you told people your preferred pronouns will make you distrust people who push detransition or assimilation.

Yeah. My life experiences as a non-binary trans man have definitely made me want to advocate and speak up for myself and other trans guys. I guess this is activism, even if that's not my intention. But talking about righting the wrong shit that society does to trans men shouldn't be seen as a radical political stance.
