Getting a quick workout in before I call it a night with some Stranger Things. And this is what my body’s looking like after a month of no gym. 
I’m keeping active with walking and cycling but I haven’t been to the gym so no weight training, I’ll be back in soon tho. But for the first time, after a long break from the gym, I’m not hating how my body looks. It’s a bit more pudgy and less solid/firm, kinda softer but I’m still strong and still feeling good. And look at those arms damn they big. #ftm #bodypositivity #transbodies

Happy #transawarenessweek 💖💙 Here’s a little comparison. On the left is a photo from a few days ago of me modeling my favorite underwear brands @tomboyx and @aerie 👙 The photo on the right is a throwback to the first time I tried on a bra at @victoriassecret 👀 I was so nervous to go in. I had no idea how I would be treated. Luckily the woman helping me was so nice and understanding. I cried in the dressing room after putting on the simple black bra. It made me feel feminine. I purchased it and wore it for weeks under my clothes before coming out. No one noticed it was there because it was pretty flat and I layered clothes to hide the shape, but it gave me a euphoria I had never felt. Victoria Secret has a lot of changes to make before I’ll feel comfortable shopping from them again. But luckily there are so many lgbt friendly and owned brands out there. Thanks to holidays I’ve been going through old photos but man. Nine years ago doesn’t seem that long ago?? But here it is. In the first pic I still pretty actively identified as a lesbian, I’d reckon its about 6 months before I’d decide i wanted to transition? And honestly I’m sure it would’ve been a lot longer without the support of the communities around me. Places like the Transgender Foundation of America, the second home I found at Renaissance festivals, the unyielding support of my S/O, and the gradual acceptance of my family, and the love of my friends. I have a lot to be grateful for. (i recycle pictures because it’s greener) .
