Ok so I know my two cents in the situation concerning skizz may not matter since I'm not trans but I still wanted to get this out there because if I'm being honest I hate how everything is going down right now. I am genderfluid so I can't say that him not saying trans rights didn't hurt a bit at the time but I got over it fairly quickly maybe because I feel like he's right in that he's shown that he supports the LGBTQ+ community time and time again by his actions or maybe because he'd worked so hard to create a place where people could be kind to each other and forget the harsh realities of our world and society. As much as we want our existence not to be "political" or "polarizing" the truth of the matter is that it is when it sure as fuck shouldn't be. I'm a hispanic afab genderfluid pansexual living in the USA south and the truth of the matter is that most 40+ year olds that support us don't even go as far to show their support like Skizz does. The fact that some of the fandom is calling to boycott him is just absolutely insane to me because why are you going to go out of your way to hurt someone who is a disabled ally, and yes he is disabled since he suffers from MS, and has expressed his fear over and over again about not making enough money for his family if he went full time content creator? He recently became a full-time content creator and just hit 200k subs on his main channel. You have a right to be mad, we all do, but to try and use tactics that are meant to be used on big time companies and such on someone like Skizzleman is absurd. By that logic Scar and other bigger more popular hermits should be boycotted because they love Disney and talk about Harry Potter. You can't pick and choose who you turn a blind eye too just because they're more popular or less known. If I'm not wrong Skizz lives in a red state so yeah he's a cis white male giving him more wiggle room than most but you guys have to realize he does have a family he has to protect and provide for. Skizz does not care what people think of him. He says this on multiple occasions but he sure as hell cares about his family and like it or not people have been killed for saying they support us.

As for the situation with his mods, we have to understand that those types of things take time. He's had those mods for a while with one being on his team for five years if I remember correctly, please correct me if I'm wrong, and can't be replaced overnight not to mention by now they're probably somewhat seen as friends. I don't think they've ever brought up their beliefs inside of streams or videos so maybe I'm crazy but I don't think that should be held against Skizz. He haired them to do a job and they did it pretty well despite their whack ass political beliefs. Yeah obviously he should fire them but damn give it a month or something don't go straight too killing the man before he can learn!

Well, firstly, I would keep in mind that plenty of nonbinary people are women. I'm not sure if you just don't know much about it but nonbinary is an umbrella term, including multigendered people and genderfluid people, plenty of whom are women.

That said, there's not really any way to specifically pin down your sexuality to prevent anyone from misunderstanding you ever.

If you're a woman attracted to other women, people are going to understand you when you say you're a lesbian.

They might also think you're attracted to some nonbinary people but that's not a bad thing, its literally fine. Whatever label feels comfortable to you, enjoy it, it doesn't always have to mean the same thing to you that it means to everyone else.

I really hate that whenever the HP fandom discusses Snape as Neville's boggart, they just rehash the same debate of "Is Snape being Neville's Boggart fucked up or not?" instead of (with everything we now know about JKR) discussing: "What are the implications of Lupin being framed as a good guy by having everyone laugh at a man in a dress because haha men don't wear dresses and especially not THIS man how silly to help a student get over his fear when they all wear robes anyway?"

Because THAT has taken over my brain and despite all the takes that make Harry Potter sound like a hate manifesto and some theories about what MIGHT be transphobia in those books, I'm not seeing ANYONE talk about this (probably because it has to do with Snape).

Genuinely, I think this is the discussion about that scene we as a fandom should be having and we're not.

And this is not meant to be like a "defense of Snape". I'm thinking in the narrative and in real-life: Lupin decided to help Neville get over a reasonable fear by making that fear- a man who bullies him- funny and to make that fear funny, he instructs Neville to crossdress it which is framed as funny by the narrative because "men don't wear dresses" when what Neville's grandmother wears is already very similar to what MOST wizards are shown wearing- the only difference being that she is a woman.

Like, is this not weird to anyone else- especially with what JKR's been spewing. I really find this interesting and I barely see ANYONE talking about it. What are the implications?

Not to be a conspiracy theorist but

With how almost willfully stupid the most recent update tumblr tried to push was, and with how not 24 hours after, there was a huge wave of trans women blogs being banned... Do you think that maybe it was an intentional distraction?

So like is it unreasonable to expect your parents to take care of you after you just had a surgery and not go on vacation leaving you alone for a week? Cuz I kinda expected that my parents would be taking care of me after top surgery but my mom says I'm being very unreasonable.

She was close enough now to the planet to see that her luck was turning, a little too fast for her liking.

Everything came with strings. The planet seemed viable for life, with hints of green on its surface. But was probably filled with venomous plants or toxic sulphurous air or something.

Still she hits at the controls until they answer her and starts to steer the ship in the direction of the floating rock.

But if, if, the planet she had found after months? years? on this craft was just moderate enough for humans to survive on, it would mean she had technically succeeded in her impossible mission.

Except she was deathly low on fuel and so had no way home.
