so there's a lot of things that im excited and terrified of for trc show but. can we please have 400 Lux by Lorde in it?? it has the feeling of driving at night, loving your friends, it even mentions buying orange juice,, I don't think there's another song that fits so perfectly. you know what just get Lorde to make the soundtrack, she did the hunger games' and she was amazing

hmmmm trc tv show thoughts: pynch first kiss edition

the scene begins with adam opening the door to ronan’s room and the first notes of “anchor” by novo amor trickle in. we see adam looking around the room, touching nicknacks that remind him of memories of ronan. some of them bring back flashbacks, either what he imagined young ronan to be like when he got said item or moments that the two of them shared that the item reminds him of. he’s clearly relishing in seeing new parts of ronan, and very obviously smitten. eventually, ronan walks in, but adam is too busy daydreaming to notice him until he touches adam on the shoulder. they have a moment(tm) while looking st each other, and then ronan leans across adam (we focus in on him looking around nervously) to grab the toy car. he moves back to the bed, and adam follows him. they sit there for a second in silence, ronan fiddling with the car, as the song builds more and more. the two do a lot of looking at each other when they think the other isn’t watching, and we can see a lot of vulnerability in both of them. there are some cuts to what’s happening downstairs, matthew maybe opening presents, opal and blue bonding, etc, to remind us of the outside world and the bubble that these two are in, as well as how high the stakes are. finally, we can see ronan building the moment up in his head at 2:51 of the song, the calm before the storm if you will. we watch him think, ok, deep breath, and then as the song swells again, we see him lean in and take adam’s hand. adam looks up, and flashing though his mind is the scene with the lawnmower and the rain. we can see the rain approaching and then it cuts back to ronan, who just kisses him. he pulls away, and as the song swells more, both lean back in, and kiss dramatically as the song crescendoes. their kissing is interspersed with quick cuts of adam and his whole rain thing. when the song falls again, ronan moves away from adam, and goes to walk back downstairs. adam sits there for a second, and we can see him smile radiantly, all his emotions right there, and then it cuts to ronan standing outside the door, also grinning like a maniac. as the song is ending, we see adam open up his hands to reveal that ronan has given him the toy car. the song ends with the scene.
