After getting M off to day care which is always more painful on Mondays, the first thing I did was hit the treadmill for a walk. I'm pretty impressed with how frequently I'm using the treadmill so far (we bought the treadmill while I was pregnant and while I certainly could have used it then, I didn’t. I don’t even have a good excuse. I have always wanted a treadmill though and knew I would make use of it during maternity leave). Today was only a walk because I ran/walked yesterday (but apparently did not take a picture of!). Per my fitbit, I worked out for 43:42 minutes and added 4,681 steps to my day so that’s at least 2.3 miles (more accurately it was probably 2.5 miles as that’s what I aim for at every workout - unfortunately the fitbit does not track mileage very well in my experience).
The only noteworthy events of the day were meal planning, grocery shopping, and taking H’s one month picture (one day belated). He’s not the most photogenic yet (although he’s super cute in person IMO)...here’s an outtake:
For dinner I was going to make one thing but as I was preparing a meal for M (that was going to be used more than once this week), I realized I had made a ton of her dinner, so that became dinner for all of us. That dinner was ground turkey browned, sautéed zucchini, rice and two scrabbled eggs with some garlic and onion powder and drizzled in soy sauce. Not fancy but pretty tasty. Unfortunately M didn’t eat any of it (typically she loves ground meat and rice so I’m not sure what her deal was there) and Matt wasn’t feeling well so really only I ate it...
I'm still going great with myfitnesspal (@hoosiermom04) and maintaining my goals from last week.
