How fucking bad must zephram cochrane have stunk to that vulcan
Always a jumpscare when Aotearoa is mentioned but in an episode of Enterprise I am watching (Rogue Planet) Archer mentions doing survival scouting in New Zealand's rainforest which was wild since we refer to it as "the bush" but I suppose that doesn't sound as good to an international audience.
I'm always intrigued about how New Zealand shows up in science fiction. (Or not: according to Memory Alpha, NZ is missing from a view of the globe in First Contact, to which I say, plus ça change.)
Which of these concept ships would you like to see on screen?
1964 Concept that became the Ringship Enterpise (XCV-330)
1964 Concept that became the Daedalus Class
Phase II Concept Enterprise
Upside Down Miranda Class
Nilo Rodis Excelsior Prototypes I-III
Andrew Probert Enterprise-C/D concept
Defiant Concept
Voyager but closer to a runabout
The final version we saw on screen wasn't necessarily how that ship started, so out of these specific ships, which one would you have wanted to see on screen
He is all I can draw rn
When I was a kid (and now too I suppose), I really clung to certain aspects of 'Stranger Danger' and superstition and took it really seriously to *never give anyone my name*.
For some reason my chosen fake name since forever has been Gates McFadden.
Like 5 years old my lil crow brain was like yes this is it this is the name I'm stealing.
Clown: What's your name kiddo?
Gates McFadden.
First Trip to Starbucks: Name for the order?
Gates McFadden!
Random social situation and someone asks?
Gates McFadden.
Any time a teacher who wasn't mine asked for my name:
Gates McFadden.
People who get it:
Everyone else:
I recently finished Star Trek discovery (on the day the last episode came out actually, idk why I haven’t said anything about it yet haha) and oh god. Saru and T’Rina have my little ADHD brain in a chokehold rn. I’m so tempted to write something about them but I also don’t want it to rot in my drafts, half finished like my dayoun fic…or all the others for that matter.
Maybe I’ll draw them…if I can manage to get down Saru properly. Since I’m in school and waiting for the damned teacher to come to unlock the door, maybe I’ll try right now actually.
