WIP: these mist-shrouded islands, off the shore of the Sheltering Unity of Lake Lulla, are going to be a sacred site - home to the newly-chosen Prime Incarnate, a living aether beacon for my Lake Lulla Sims. The other three lots will be occupied by: the Vedraloga, a sisterhood of warrior-nuns; the shaman and their gaggle of apprentices; and the honour guard, led by the Prime Incarnate's consort.

The Luminous Isles get their name from the idea that the light of an aether beacon brightens and protect the lands around it. They're also named for the Deep Luminance, one of the four abstract gods of the Senaverse (as opposed to the ones who walk around in townie form, who are technically angels) and the one whose domain is sensation, emotion and mindfulness.

I'm setting these islands up as a mainhood, because my birthday is a week on Sunday and I want to play by then, but this way I can decide whether I want to make my other sims and their subhoods as playables later.

I've always thought the 'Duality' terrain was so interesting, and small enough that you could create something manageable to then expand off of. If you couldn't tell by the (very obvious) emojis and the choice of hood, I'm going for a more fantasy-esque magic hood. It also means I can use a broader amount of CC that isn't strictly medieval and create more of a stylized world!

Meet the HAMMERS!

The Hammers are the second peasant family in Riverflee. They’re miners by trade, and they wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for an unfortunate accident. When Phoebe was young, she was stolen away by fairies, and kept for a very long time. She came back with not one, not two, not three, but four changeling children-- the eldest nearly six, the youngest barely a toddler.

They came to Riverflee, like most of the other families, in search of a better life-- one where no one would be cruel to changelings.
