Hi! I have two male regency upper-class (maybe middle too, if you use darker colors and the solid waistcoat overlays) suits to share with you all. These can work from the early 1800s to the 1820s. I used mesh pieces from @notsooldmadcatlady and @happylifesims to make this possible
Each suit has 50 swatches, with different cravats and jacket colors and different waistcoat textures. All patterns on the waistcoats are different from one another. You also get a cravat overlay with 30 swatches found in the neck category, a waistcoat overlay with 30 solid swatches found in the piercings section, a buttons overlay found in the left wrist section, and a jacket overlay with 60 swatches found in the right wrist section. I was going to do trouser overlays, but changed my mind, but maybe I'll include some in the future. I've also included the PSDs if anyone wishes to recolor.
Works best as everyday wear or formal and party wear.
Plenty of mixing and matching possibilities and combinations to come up with, here are some on Jack below
As always, please let me know if you have any issues
I am back, once again, with a name replacement mod! After the success of my Medieval Name Replacement Mod, I knew I wanted to make more name replacement mods for historical TS4 players. And since the other most popular Decades challenge, besides the Ultimate Decades Challenge, is the original one that takes place from 1890 to the present, it only made sense to do a mod that replaces the names that are hardest to find within those decades.
That is why our next mod is full of names between the years 1800 and 1919, so it can work for those who play Regency gameplay as well.
How does it work?
It’s very simple. You download the mod, and put it into your mods folder, wherever you keep default replacements. Once the mod is in your folder, load up the game. In both CAS, randomly generated townies, and babies, the available names will only be selected from a pool of period appropriate names.
When in CAS, if you use the die to randomize a name, it will only give you appropriate names, like so:
When a townie is randomly generated in town, they will no longer have modern names, like so:
When your sim gives birth to a baby, the random name options will all be appropriately old fashioned, like so:
Is it compatible only with English?
It should be compatible with every language. I did it the same way that I did the updated version of my medieval mod, so it should also be compatible with Kuttoe's Townie Demographics mod, and similar mods.
Any details on the names you can provide us?
a little over 4500 English female names
a little over 4600 English male names
nearly 13,000 English surnames/bynames
the date range that these names should be appropriate for is between 1800 and 1919
the English names should be appropriate for all English speaking countries, because I tried to pull names from the appropriate timeframe in multiple countries
Indian names updated to be more appropriate to the time period
Islander names updated to be more appropriate to the time period
Japanese names updated to be more appropriate to the time period
Moroccan names updated to be more appropriate to the time period
Latin names updated to be more appropriate to the time period
Native American names updated to be more appropriate to the time period
Southeast Asian names updated to be more appropriate to the time period
thousands of pet names (cats, dogs, and horses)
in the future, I intend to add names for the farm animals as well
Where did you get your names?
ALL over. Seriously, I scoured the entire internet for time period appropriate names. I couldn't begin to list my sources.
Any other details I should know?
base game compatible
you may only have one name replacement mod in your game at a time
this mod is subject to change as I find more names, so check back occasionally to see if the version is new!
if you have any questions or suggestions for names, feel free to message me
works for every age
will not replace the names of sims that have already been created
no names are memes - if you see a silly name, that was actually a name of a real life person sometime between 1800 and 1919
Disclaimer: The Indian, Islander, Moroccan, Latin, Native American, and Southeast Asian names were incredibly hard to find, so they may not be appropriate to the time period. The only names I could properly find were Japanese names. If you want to help me find better, more time period appropriate names for any of these, please feel free to send me a message!
lord cornelius thistlewaite had never believed in love at first sight—until he beheld lady selina during the windenburg season. the incomparable of her year, she captivated every room she entered, even drawing the eye of a duke. yet cornelius remained steadfast in his pursuit, determined to claim her wild, untamed spirit as his own.
little did he know that some flames are never meant to be tamed. neither love nor motherhood could soften selina’s restless heart, for she was never a woman meant to be merely a wife or mother. she belonged to the world, and cornelius could only watch as she slipped through his fingers like stardust...
i'm alive guys, for the last few weeks i've been enjoying building my regency save so i've been posting more on discord more than tumblr but did want to something since it's a been a while.
also had so much fun building more of the thistlewaite lore. this post came from me learning how to make my own paintings recolors as i wanted their portraits to hang in manor and tell a deeper story.
Relatively high poly [14k], not as high poly as a SN hair with a similar shape would be, but still high.

Notes :
There may be clipping with prominent foreheads and the side-curls.
There is a small gap at the back of the neck when a neck reduction slider is used.
I'll add a mirror download for this at a later date. As of now it'll just be on my SFS.
When wearing hats, the hat-chops remove the side curls.

TOU* :
Provided the usage is NONCOMMERCIAL AND THERE IS NO EARLY ACCESS OR AD REVENUE GAINED FROM YOUR USE OF THE ASSETS
DOU (do! tou)
Edits and recolors are welcome. You may include the mesh.
Conversions to other sim games is fine.
Conversions to games that don't have rewards for creating / uploading cc is fine. You might find it better to just convert straight from the source games rather than using my versions, though.
Reuploading is fine for archival purposes (If my patreon and SFS are gone, and my tumblr has not provided other links)
Use in deco sims or build objects is fine (that'd be really cool!!!)
Make corrections or compatibility updates if Posies is unable to do it, inactive or too busy.
NOU (no! tou)
No using this cc in paid or early access sim dumps.
No using this cc on model sims when advertising your own paid or early access cc.
No uploading this cc, derivatives or this cc or links to this cc to ad-sites [simfinds, curseforge, modco, any individual cc finds blog external to tumblr that receives ad revenue, any other social media account which is monetized. I don't care if people see my cc- you are not an altruist, you are a capitalist. starve.]
No re-uploading this cc to cc packs.
No re-conversions to games that have external or internal rewards systems for creating cc.
Regarding conversions :
Posies converts solely for fun and to bring items into the sims 4 which Posies enjoys and believes can be used for players to greater express themselves.
The meshes Posies has used have already been on the internet for some time. Posies isn't converting the meshes entirely faithfully, but trying to be creative and transformative with how Posies uses the textures and meshes Posies converts.
Non commercial share-alike only, This post is not monetized, you should not monetize or otherwise profit from the use of this mesh, these files, these textures. You should not monetize or otherwise profit from derivatives of this mesh, these files, these textures. Bundling this file into paid sim-dumps, republishing links to this file on sites which receive ad revenue, bundling this file and republishing this for any commercial use is prohibited.
If crediting via wcif please remember these are conversions and so while much was done by Posies, this is also a derivative work and the effort that the original artists put into their work should not be devaluated.
Posies does not support selling conversions from other games into the sims 4 (nor any other game for that matter.).
Don't be a rotten gourd.

Two fairly similar outfits for boys and girls. It feels a little blasphemous calling them 1830s. The sleeves aren't nearly impressive enough.
These were possibly going to be accompanied by some outfits for 1830s adults but... Nah.
Germain Tunic
The skeleton suit fell out of fashion in the 30s, being replaced by these tunics. Probably an improvement. Since it's the successor to the skeleton suit, it's most suitable for younger boys, like... 4-9. No older than 10, I'd say. Older boys would wear suits similar to the ones worn by men.

No arbitrary age restrictions on this one. It's suitable for most of a girl's childhood. Girls have it so easy, huh? Sarcasm.
