My friend after me telling him about the gospel: Holy shit you're telling me I get to be with the girl I love forever?!?!?!
Me: Dude, she could be your Goddess
Him: Whaaaat??!! That's so DOPE
AHH! General Conference is this weekend! Sadly I’ll be working both Sat and Sun, so I won’t be able to watch the Sat evening session live, but I’ll do my best to stay awake and live-blog the rest with you all again. <3 It’s become a treasured tradition, and an especially meaningful one now that I’ve moved back to my home city and gained a better grasp about my place in all of this.
A couple is to become one in establishing their family as the basis of a righteous life. Latter-day Saint husbands and wives leave behind their single life and establish their marriage as the first priority in their lives. They allow no other person or interest to have greater priority in their lives than keeping the covenants they have made with God and each other. Nonetheless, married couples continue to love and support their parents and siblings while focusing on their own families. Similarly, wise parents realize that their family responsibilities continue throughout life in a spirit of love and encouragement.

I'm going shopping. I finally managed to make a list of everything I need, and since they have a sale nearby I'll go and buy at least all the shampoo and deodorant I'll need for, what, maybe three weeks?
Wait. That's not that much, really. Somehow I've taken this whole "take as much as you need for the duration of your MTC stay" thing like I needed things for the whole 18 months. Hmph.
Oh well, I'll still go shopping and while there I'll try and get in my head that I need to prepare for looking in the mirror each morning before leaving the flat for the next 18 months or so. Whoa. That's going to be rough.
I actually have enough clothes already, expect maybe for warmer shirts. Somehow I think my black hoodie with a hawk's skull on the back isn't appropriate missionary wear even on colder days...
Because of Him, I know that even though it seems like everything has been going to crap lately and will continue to do so, somehow it will all work out.
I have no idea where I'd be without my testimony of Jesus Christ, but I do know it would be no where good.
