I read Goffman's book and prepared text about main notions. The Presentation of Self in Everyday Life is a good observed micro-sociological explaining model nevertheless Sennett criticized independent on structure sight but I think if Sennet would thought about Marx's Materialistic History, he could see how the scene and actors changes. I think Goffman's theory isn't independent on structure.

hello! started a ner chapter today, i looked over the new vocabulary and the sentence forming. before i take notes i often try to translate the sentences to my native language (because turkish and korean has same sentence structure ) and check the translations only when i dont know a word.

i am happy with my little study time today! how was your day?

25.10.2020~

To say today didn’t go as planned would be an understatement.

First, I wasted entire sunlight on trying to open the freaking class notes, because I needed the examples on the video.

Then, realized my professor didn’t share class notes which I am responsible FOR A QUIZ in a few days so I had to wing it with the course book notes and voice record.. I mean, it probably will be okay but was still annoying.

Lastly, had to take notes on department elective course which,like literally, has the assignment question of “Do you have a unicorn?”

Sigh.

I hope this weeks makes more sense or at least is nicer to me and everyone who stopped by to read! ~

Wrapping the week

It was my first week of online school . It was good but boring at the same time.

Looks like I’m obsessed with notebooks.

I went to pick up some pferds to the woods . I like pferds so much.

I’m obsessed with this song. It’s on my mind all the time.

And I wish I were a cat , sleeping all the time .

Guess who is late again? Yup.

Today I found out that;

a) I am still slow af with the studying, I was busy moping around being all upsetti, so started late but studying for Research Methods took way too long.

b) One time Charles Darwin “half seriously”  said it might be better if scientists die by age 60 because by then they are more likely to reject anything new. Lol. I love my Research Methods book. Offically favourite of this term.

Anyways, failed to finish today’s to-do list as well, but it was a productive day i guess. Here are some pictures I took throughout the day.

06.10.2020~ New notebook, who dis?

Got my notebooks and finally ready to tackle down this term’s notes! ( Also we use mostly pdfs for books, so thats what is about on “notes” )

I am having second thoughts about taking an extra course which is on sociology, as my schedule looks like it will be very heavy on its own. Besides, the lecturer wants us to have our video on each and every class, which, rude. Also one of my courses have such riddiculous requirements and plans for the term that I couldn’t take the lecturer serious enough to get angry about it.

Anyway, social anxiety sucks. Almost had an heart attack and missed my opportunity to answer to a question today. I sometimes wish I had an “on/off” button on these things, lol.

Hopefully tomorrow will bring better things to us. ~
