11. A book that was most out of your comfort zone

hmm, maybe horse barbie by geena rocero? i'm generally not into memoirs, and neither the world of beauty pageants nor modelling particularly interests me, but reading abt them from the perspective of a trans woman was really interesting. had no idea the philippines has such a vibrant trans pageant scene!

HIJAB BUTCH BLUES BY LAMYA H. (as, again, not a memoir person - THE best memoir i've ever read)

more everything forever by adam becker (critical analysis of sillicon valley tech billionaires' vision of The Future, really good)

the forger's spell by edward dolnick (art forgery is already Crazy and this specific guy's story is even crazier than usual)

speculative whiteness: science fiction and the alt-right by jordan s. carroll (should be required reading for scifi fans)

Darjeeling: Where does your OC feel most at home?

the quantum grove in timber hearth <3 they often went there when they wanted to be alone from the village (which they do love too!) for a while and tried climbing the rocks as a little hatchling >::3

there were places for younger jasper to play and get themselves into trouble, but older jasper came there to get some fresher air and make a song from the quantum poem; and also to think about what it’s like to be in space! they appreciate the place even more after they meet gabbro <3

in space, they feel most at home at both gabbro and riebeck’s camps!!
