A massive thank you to the UEA Headlights Comedy Society people for offering to donate proceeds from their annual showcase towards Oskar's Safespace fund. The show - 'I CAME HERE BY ACCIDENT!' - will be on Wednesday 9th March, at UEA's Hive/Unio/whatever it's actually called. There'll be stand up from Tom Masters, Grace Carman and Fedor Tot, improv and original sketches from the society, plus a headline set by the really brilliant Unmistakable Scent of Leopard. Now that I'm not a member, I can say that it's looking to be one of the best shows they've ever produced without any bias. Sort of. Anyway, tickets are £5 and all are welcome to attend. And finally, in week 12, we held our second annual Winter Showcase. This year we were raising funds for UEA Headucate. The night consisted of a stand-up, brand new sketch material, and

Our first venture of the 2014-15 academic year was our second annual Norwich Fringe Festival show. This year, we retrospectively decided to name it 'Admit One' - for (hopefully) obvious reasons. It was half 'best of' sketch material, half improv games, all performed by the cast as listed.

As always, a big thank you to everyone who came down to support us, to the Puppet Theatre staff for being so helpful, to UEA TV and Concrete for their coverage of the night and to the people at the Fringe for letting us do this.

We now have a poster for our show "YOUR AD HERE" with a headline slot from the brilliant sketch act Bad Bread! Bad Bread are a seasoned Edinburgh act who've received rave reviews across the board, including these snippets: “A 60 minute sledgehammer set. If we were facing an impending apocalypse, I know who I’d want to spend my last laugh with” --The Sunday Express “The fringe as it should be!” --Chortle “The obvious comic chemistry oozes off the stage and filters into the crowd, who left with stitches in their sides and coos of ‘that was brilliant’.” --Cream of the Fringe All information regarding the night should be contained above, but feel free to drop us a question if you want to know anything else about the night or alternative ways to get tickets. Impulse ticket-buying has really been a thing this week. But I'm now going to see Festival of the Spoken Nerd, Richard Herring (Norwich Playhouse), and Stewart Lee perform John Cage's 'Indeterminacy' (Norwich Arts Centre). Add that to the handful of comedy gigs I booked in advance last semester (and the fact at UEA Headlights we have our own sketch showcase with a still-to-be-announced headliner coming up HINT) and 2014's going to be brilliant. Got to love Norwich and it's reasonably-priced comedy/music scene.
