Ukyo and Gen are criminally underrated -- as a ship, duo, whatever. Like they could be so good 💔 they both came from the Tsukasa empire, so you could say they're a bit more familiar with each other than the show likes to let on. Both of their characters are built around this sense of guilt: Ukyo with his complacency, Gen with his opportunism. These issues are opposites (Ukyo initially did nothing to change his situation for what he wanted whereas that's all Gen was doing). They balance each other ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ AND GEN IS HONEST WITH UKYO. hence the post-poker-match scene. GAHRHRHG. please guys please see what I see
