That’s… actually a really fascinating observation, even if it is completely mortifying! Maybe I’m just feeling the pressure of trying to keep up with a detective and a professional athlete? Yes, that must be it! It’s all just… academic, right? Right?!

Waves!!! This is one of the more in depth, well thought out ideas I have for a Talentswap AU :)) It's mainly Mondo, or M0-N40 focused ^^

Also heads up for major character death if you're sensitive to that! It'll make sense trust me,,

Mondo, or M0-N40; is the Ultimate Robot! His intended purpose is to understand human emotion and behavior, and what it means to be truly human. In other words, he's programmed to act as human as humanly possible. That is also the case given he has been built to look the part as well [albeit with some obvious indications that he isn't].

His creator, or who he calls his 'brother', is a talented mechanic! The fact he somehow built a robot from the ground up is quite the feat..! Man I sure do wonder how he managed to pull all that off-

Yeah okay so. Fun fact Daiya may or may not be a little mental but that's okay I forgive him. Instead of the Crazy Diamonds being a biker gang, they're instead an auto repair shop that fixes up cars, motorcycles... anything that has an engine! They still do biker things on the side, more as a hobby.

Mondo and Daiya go out for a joyride one night, and as fate would have it they get into a horrible accident, except; Daiya was a second too late. Unable to push his brother out of the way, he succumbs to death. And Daiya is heartbroken, inconsolable over the death of his younger brother, how he failed him.. Which that very guilt festers into an unexplainable deed. Taking the metaphorical remains of his brother, and vowing to put him back together. No matter how long it takes [spoiler alert, it takes 2 years].

M0-N40 has no idea that he is built to be an exact replica of a person who now rests six feet underground. He thinks he is his own person, his own being.. and sure! He has pre-established memories to help him integrate with the people around him but.. it doesn't mean anything, right?

"the truth is... i actually do wish i was human... every night, i wonder what it's like to drink s-soda, or sleep, or cry... i-i wanna be a real boy! ...and i'm not lying, you know: if i lie, my nose grows longer."

(he actually is insecure about that. he wonders if his reprogrammed personality is enough for him to be more than a robot. since he's just an AI, will there be the time where he'll be boring and predictable? in a way, he's always entertaining others, so is he just a robot doing nothing but it's intended purpose? he ponders about how he has to exaggerate his emotions, but are there even any to begin with? sometimes he lets his true emotions slip, but does he truly feel that way, or is he "subconsciously" exaggerating them, as he's programmed to? if he dropped acting 100%, would he just be this emotionless robot? if he was human, even if he was also a liar, wouldn't he be more genuine than he is now?)
