see theres an alternate version of loki (and the mcu) in my head where theyre actually well-written and have depth and feel the effects of the trauma given to them and are queer and traumatised and relatable.

whoever came up with the "you'll never get turned around in a forest bc moss grows on the north side of trees" has obviously never been to the pnw. we've got moss growing in every side of every tree. north east south west up down and everywhere in between. we've got moss growing in directions you've never even heard of. that are incomprehensible to the human mind

ive been trying to watch more vampire media lately but its hard because almost all vampire media is just:

vampirism represent the Evils and Corruption of the World and the structures of society (religion, patriarchy) the Goodness of the World. obviously.

when its like. im just so sick of it. i want more stories of vampires in the ways i am drawn and relate to vampirism.

vampirism as disability. vampirism as queerness. vampirism as an exploration of what it means to be worth life. vampirism as an expression religious trauma and exploration of christianty's harm.

enough powerful vampires. i want weak vampires. who are sickly from lack of blood and stumble dizzily when they stand up. who have no energy to do things. who miss the sun and outdoors. who are taken care of by someone who loves them and feel guilt and shame over it. over their very existence. and instead of being told they deserve to die get their head held gently in someone's hands and told you cannot be immoral for an existence you did not choose, for taking up space.

but no. a million evil vampires and cool vampire killers and angsty broody Good vampires who are the only good ones in existence and all the rest are evil.

what do you mean i have to write my own fic for the stuff in my head to become tangible? Can I not just think of bits and pieces and an overall vibe + vague plot and then stare at an empty google doc super hard for ten seconds and have the entire thing be transferred there, all the blanks filled in? this is outrageous.
