i have a big opportunity with a well established company and i’m torn because they are not offering me enough money to complete the project. i’m being severely underpaid and i feel like i’m basically working for free.

i don’t know what to do, when i tried asking for more they did meet me halfway but it’s still not enough.

they also added more to the project. i feel really stuck, because the opportunity is great on the surface..but the amount of time they are projecting for this is making me lose money.

anyone have advice ? or been in a similar situation and was able to renegotiate ?

I want to let you know that after almost a year of waiting, at last, I have an answer: I got accepted at BSc (Hons.) Biomedical Sciences at the University of Oxford Brookes. I also got accepted into Brighton University and I keep waiting for an answer from the University of Northampton.

The wrong part? I can not attend because it is a huge amount of money I do not have even if I am working and with the scholarship they give me. I guess this is proof of two things: the first, people abroad value the experience and knowledge of a person, also their ambitions and goals and allows you to reach them. Second, I live in a country where they do not give enough credit to people who want to grow in academic and professional fields, and it is sad, that you have to go abroad to ask for that chance.

But I am proud that I got accepted in those magnificent institutions even if I can not pay for it. A dream that could happen if money wouldn't be a barrier.

Don't stop fighting for your dreams.

Even if I can not go, I will find the way to do what I always wanted 💛

Dealing with banking issues regarding school loans such a fun Friday

I went to do some shopping with mom and without going into details I just say this; I fucking hate this "not having money enough to buy things." Always need to count the damn coins to see what you can buy and what you can't (this literally has been my whole life so far). There never hasn't been that freedom to just go and buy what you want, not needing to worry about money at all. I had enough of it today. I'm so damn pissed and sick of being poor. I decided that, for Fuck's sake, I will find a job and start to earn money! I will be able to go and buy whatever I fucking want! No more being afraid how I will survive, no more counting days when I get more money, no more counting coins what I can buy and for how many days I have food. No more any of that. I'm fucking done.
