Trump sets historic record for unpopularity on day 500 of 2nd term: Poll
On day 500 in his second term, President Donald Trump set a record for the most unpopular president in a major poll's history.
The Economist said Thursday that during its 17 years of tracking presidents with YouGov, Trump hit the lowest mark with a net approval rating of -25.
That is down 1.1 points from last week, giving the president a 35% approval rating and 60% disapproval rating.
The media outlet explained that the war in Iran is hurting Trump's standing, with more than half of Americans saying the conflict was the "wrong decision."

Republicans may seem pointless and devoid of ideas – except, maybe, for support for white supremacy and the worship of Donald Trump.
However Republicans do understand the main point of being a political party.
The first and overriding goal for national political parties is to win elections. So if Republican candidates keep winning elections without offering an agenda that garners widespread public support, there is no reason to expect the party to change.
Democrats often have difficulty with this concept. Too many liberals think that the point of voting is to “make a statement” or to “express their beliefs”. That is fuzzy-headed rubbish
Political parties exist to elect candidates to office so that they can enact policies. If the focus is not on electing people to office then there is little point in being a party.
It’s true that the geopolitical and constitutional political landscape in the US is complicated and tends to favor Republicans. But there are still ways to overcome this.
Democrats are successful when they operate in a big tent. They fail when there is petty bickering aimed at other factions within the party rather than a focus on defeating Republicans.
Unity and tolerance of people who may not agree with you 100% of the time is a formula for success.
The only way to get the institutional and constitutional reforms needed for the continuation of democracy is to keep electing as many Democrats as possible.
Getting these Dems elected means appealing specifically to voters in the localities where they need to be elected. Cookie cutter candidates don’t cut it. We need custom candidates who have a good feel for their states or districts and understand how their neighbors feel.
Republicans don’t have to care what people think. They are getting a free ride. But we do have to care – and care a lot.
why are they like that? They want attention. They think that all men like girls who dont give a sht, they want to be the skater girl in that 2008 movie who is so cool and doesnt like girly things. Because they think they live in that movie, where the not so girly girl and the popular boy ends up being together. Bullshit. They want what they’re trying not to want. DO YOU HEAR ME!
You know, when I see @ninjawhoa’s blog I’m like “woah, they just popped up made good art and became super popular” and I’m like I popped up and I also make art, and yet everyone including myself hates me. And my only over 100 notes post is about… lady Gaga… and people harassed me. That’s why I don’t state opinions. No I’m not ranting I just kinda think like this a lot.
Be polite to everyone you meet, be nice and kind if you can. But don't respect everyone you see on the street just because they are human beings, this isn't necessarily a quality.
