Bhendi Masala!!! I have been craving Bhendi for a while. Fortunately the Indian store had fresh Okra and I had the time to make it!!! Here’s what I used👇🏼 1 tsp. Asafoetida (Hing) 1/2 cup chickpeas flour (Besan) 1 lb. Okra (Bhindi) 6pitted Dates made into a paste 1/4 cup Peanuts, roasted 1 tsp Coriander seeds, Powder 1 tsp Garam masala 1 tsp Red chili powder 1 Salt 1 tbsp Sesame seeds 1/2 tsp Turmeric, powder 4 Tbsp. Coconut Oil 2 Tbsp. dry Coconut, 1 tablespoon amchoor Powder, Dry Mango Powder Here’s how I made it 👇🏼 1️⃣Cut or trim the end part of Okra and then slit it using a knife. 2️⃣Take a mixing bowl. Add the chickpeas flour, crushed peanuts, sesame seeds, grated coconut, coriander seeds powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, amchoor powder, pinch of hing, date paste, salt and oil in it. 3️⃣Mix all ingredients properly and make the mixture for stuffing. 4️⃣Now stuff the mixture into each Okra, using your fingers and thumbs. 5️⃣Heat the oil in pan and place the stuffed Okra into the pan, do not stir it. Cover the lid and cook it on medium flame till cooked, toss it after every 2-3 minutes and check it. Recommend healthy swaps: 🌱Use date paste instead of sugar 🌱Use coconut oil instead of vegetable oil 🌱Buy organic ingredients when you can I am serving it with dal and rice (Varan Bhaat) 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻 : Do you like stuffed veggies?
