Kenny didn’t want Uri’s power, he wanted his compassion. Kenny believed that if he didn’t have to constantly worry about surviving or getting by that he would be able to see the world in the light that Uri did. If he only had the chance to stop watching his own back he might be able to appreciate life as he witnessed Uri and Frieda do. And the only way to achieve the security to worry about the bigger picture is to become untouchable, to have Uri’s “godlike” power as Kenny referred to it.
