I got a ring recently and I’ve been thinking of inventive lies to say if people ask me where/why i got it. So far I’ve got:

-I got engaged/married

-I found a hole in the ground that turned out to be a dungeon and got this after defeating the boss. I don’t know what it does, but I’m sure its magic

-It marks me as a member of the illuminati

-I found this saudi arabian prince over the summer who was dying of thirst, so i gave him my water and he game me this

-I woke up from a vivid dream i can’t remember and it was just on my hand

-I think its cursed; i can’t take it off

-Oh this? I made it

-Its my mood ring, but it turns out i only ever feel envy

-its the new apple iRing

-did you know that if you dive to the bottom of the mariana trench there’s a little stall there and they just *give* these away?

-mit is conducting an experiment on me in particular

-it’s currently sealing away the Small Dog contained in my right hand

-i annoyed bill gates so much that he gave me that if it meant i’d leave him alone

-its there because of my Protagonist Powers (and then refuse to specify)
