v!hellfire hc: when cherri was waiting for apo to come home, she embroidered the edges of a blanket with little apples and cherries. the entire throw blanket's border is patterned with fruit and flowers by the time apo returns. and when apo comes back, she's so, so cold, and so cherri tucks it around her shoulders to try and get her warm. it stains red with apo's tears.

v!Apo headcanon- 

Throughout most of their time in Oakhurst v!Apo had not felt safe or relaxed at all. They were constantly stressed out and on guard, out of fear that something would happen if they weren’t careful enough. She didn’t realize how much of a toll it was taking on her until she got home to v!Cherri. The second Apo saw Cherri her body instinctively relaxed and basically collapsed into Cherri's arms. They were so exhausted from everything they had gone through, physically, mentally, and emotionally, that they barely had any energy left to even move. It caught her off guard at first and even scared her a little, but having Cherri there made it not feel so terrifying.

v!Hellfire headcanon - What if v!Apo had a favorite flower that didn’t grow near her and v!Cherri’s house? After Apo was first drafted in the military and had to leave, Cherri went out of their way to look for the flowers that Apo adored. She bought some seeds and planted them in their garden. Cherri took extra care of those flowers, because they were Apo’s favorites and she wanted to surprise her with them. The flowers bloomed the day Apo came home from Oakhurst.

v!Hellfire headcanons - 

Whenever v!Cherri began to miss v!Apo, she would make paintings/drawings of Apo as a way to try to cope with their absence. When Apo gets home the first thing she sees as she enters their house are paintings of herself scattered around the house. 

Sometimes Cherri will purposely wear very visible lipstick when kissing Apo’s face. Since Apo can no longer see her reflection, she can’t tell when there is lipstick on her face. Cherri will lovingly stare at Apo with such a smug expression. 

Whenever Cherri is upset with Apo, they will make garlic bread and make sure to eat it in front of Apo. (It’s rarely ever much. She just eats one of two slices, then gives the rest to their friends.)

v!Apo Spider Rose AU (contains a lot of v!Hellfire) -

Apo Kuna (Spider Rose) - Apo Kuna was just a high school student with a part time job as a photographer. Until, one day during a class trip she ends up getting bit by a radioactive spider at Goldsmith labs. The next day they wake up to having new found spider powers. At first Apo doesn’t really consider the idea of being a super hero, until she witnesses a crime occur and she steps in to help. Apo just wanted a normal life, yet they can't help but want to protect others when they have the power to do something. She was eventually given the name Spider Rose.

Cherri Fire (Fire) - Cherri Fire is a high school student that has grown to be pretty popular because of her art. What people don’t know (not even Apo) is that Cherri is secretly the vigilante known as Fire. They have been a vigilante for a while now. She has fire-based powers that she has had for as long as she can remember. They decided to become a vigilante after growing frustrated over how people in power could get away with doing horrible things and no one doing anything about it (there are personal reasons that have yet to be revealed).

Things to know (or fun facts): 

Apo and Cherri are childhood friends. They lived close to each other and would constantly go visit one another. They have been in each other's life for as long as they can remember, and just recently started dating almost a year ago (both had a crush on each other for 2 years.)

(puppethatexists idea) - Abolish is Cherri’s older brother. He is a bit older than Cherri and Apo. He is away at college. The only way he knows what's going on is through social media posts and what Cherri tells him.

Apo doesn’t know Cherri is Fire, but Cherri clocked it earlier on that Apo is Spider Rose. Spider Rose is not aware that Cherri/Fire knows their secret identity. 

Spider Rose does not have a good relationship with the media or news station. 

Fire follows Spider Rose around to help her get adjusted to being a hero and having powers. They haven’t told Apo about their powers. 

Whenever Apo and Cherri are together watching something on TV and the subject of Cherri’s vigilante identity gets brought up, Cherri will just go like “Wow, Fire is so cool and pretty. Don’t you agree Apo?” Apo will get surprised and just go like “I guess so…. You’re much prettier though.” (Cherri wants Apo to like both their civilian self and vigilante self.)

Apo doesn’t tend to take care of her injuries much. They rely on their fast healing a lot, especially when stressed or depressed. Also, Apo’s spidey senses don’t get triggered by Cherri/Fire. It's why Fire is always able to sneak up on her. (Inspired from an idea Kiwi had.)

Apo uses her civilian account to pretend to hate Spider Rose. Everyone thinks Spider Rose had beef with this random teenage civilian. Cherri uses her vigilante account to flirt and mess with Spider Rose. Then uses an alt account to like all of the positive edits made of Spider Rose. In person, civilian Cherri pretends to be indifferent about Spider Rose. (puppethatexists made a post of this AU text post that we talked about in Hellfirelings server. Someone wrote a fanfic about Spider Rose having internalized homophobia (because of the Breaking News post (from puppethatexists text post)) and eventually coming to accept herself as she starts dating Fire. Both Apo and Cherri have read it. Apo is so confused on why people think she and Fire have chemistry but is also so intrigued in the fanfic because it is so beautifully written and the plot is captivating.

Cherri/Fire has merch of Spider Rose. She wears it when she's Fire more often. Apo bought merch of Fire a few times. The first time was because their shirt got ruined and they needed another one fast. After that she got a few more because the designs were cool. Fire saw Apo in the Fire hoodie merch.  

Before Apo got bit and became Spider rose, Cherri was already doing vigilante stuff and was keeping it a secret from Apo. Not wanting to worry them or drag them into her mess. Whenever Apo got assigned to photograph a hero/vigilante/villain or the place a fight took place, Fire would follow her from a distance to make sure Apo was safe. 

Apo gets assigned to take photos of Fire for the school news. Fire only lets Apo take photographs of her. They evade almost everyone else. This leads to Apo constantly being assigned to photograph Fire, which leads to Fire basically calling Apo her personal photographer. 

Apo’s main villains that they fight when they aren’t arguing or getting rage baited by Fire, are the Coven (Scott, Owen, Pyro, and Shelby). She specifically hates Scott the most. 

Scenarios/conversations I made (not including text post) - 

After the reveal, 

Apo: "You decided to become a vigilante and picked your last name as your vigilante name!?" 

Cherri: "It throws people off!" 

Apo: "What if someone figured it out? Someone who got too close?!" 

Cherri: "I mean you're my girlfriend and you didn't figure it out. And you spent a lot of time with both personas." 

Apo: "........"

Cherri: "Wow, you're so gay for me that you fell in love with me twice. As different people." 

Apo: "Of course I did. You're you and I love you." 

Cherri: "...." 

Apo: (internally) 'Please say that was a good line.'

V!Hellfire thought I had -

v!Apo and v!Cherri cuddling while being very sleepy. Apo is in bat form, snuggled under the crook of Cherri’s neck because it’s just so warm and cozy. Cherri sleepily petting a sleepy Apo until they both fall asleep (or in Apo’s case, a state of resting). Cherri’s hand that was petting Apo now rest on bat Apo, acting like a warm blanket for her.
