I don’t really know if I’m the only one, but I would love for Vee to get a Lake moment where she chooses a name for herself. Her using Vee as a name, as in, V, the Roman numeral for five, has the same vibe to me as Lake using MT (aka Mirror Tulip).

In her mind she’s still just a number, an experiment of the Emperor, rather than her own person. I’d love for her to pick her own name at some point.

I have about a million thoughts about Yesterday’s Lie but right now I am thinking about this.

Look how concerned Camila looks and how supportive she’s trying to be. She clearly wanted to tell “Luz” not to get rid of her things but it was making “Luz” happy to do it so she just held back and tried to talk it out instead of telling “Luz” what to do. I haven’t seen much talk about this scene but I can’t get over how hard Camila worked to not be accusatory or demanding even when “Luz” was acting so weird.

And then she brings the box in herself! Look at the love in her face! Look how soft! Gosh she loves Luz and all her little quirks and hyperfixations so much. This is definitely not someone who wanted Luz to change who she was, she just wanted Luz to be happy, and the fact that she knew all the stuff that made Luz happy before is so good? We already knew but Luz clearly felt safe and happy sharing all her interests with her mom even when she was being bullied. And I also just love how much it shows that Camila’s main priority was wanting Luz to be happy, not to make Luz act normal.

I just love how Camila clearly did notice the difference in Luz. And it wasn’t like she wasn’t paying attention or that she liked the new “Luz” better, she just also noticed that “Luz” seemed really happy and wanted to support her and 🥺😭

Everything about this episode leads me to believe that Camila would be extremely accepting of Luz wanting to stay on the Boiling Isles if she had been given any warning or a normal amount of time to process. (Sidenote: she’d be accepting of the fact that Luz WANTED to stay, that doesn’t mean she’d necessarily let Luz leap into danger with no warning, but she’d at least be able to talk about it and look for compromise) but honestly she reacted amazingly well for someone who had THAT amount of life-changing information thrust upon her so fast.

Also I feel like a lot of her distress was because she found out that Luz wasn’t actually happy there? Like I said, she clearly REALLY wanted Luz to be happy, so finding out that Luz might have actually hated her life was obviously going to be A Lot for her, and Luz didn’t have time to explain or talk more,

In conclusion: Camila Noceda is so good and I’m so glad she knows about the Boiling Isles. She and Luz are in a rough spot right now but I know they’re going to be okay eventually.
