POV: I Already Know Part 3

Happy Birthday V! I finally decided to post this and I am so sorry, I might be able to squeeze in a poem about V before I go to bed.

Umm angst but not heart breaking just sad. :) I'm sorry.

Summary: You finally break the news to V that you know

He started cracking, becoming more and more physically weak yet his determination stayed strong. He noticed how Griffon treated you since he got hurt, the glances when a decision was to be made. There was even more attention to how you started acting around V, the team even picked up on it. Although they had no clue whether you wanted to kill or fuck him and they wanted to find out, so that's why you're here. Now locked in the van with V, Griffon out to make sure the area stays clear of demons. We love bonding time. 

"Maybe we could climb through a window?" You say peering around the parked vehicle for some way of escaping.

"I doubt there is one and even if we made it out, who says they won't put us back in?" The gorgeously tattooed man states taking a seat on the couch. You let out a sigh and sit down in the passenger seat of the car. The atmosphere settled to an awkward and quiet tone.

"Did I do something to perhaps upset or disturb you?" Your head raises and you lean to the side glancing back into the van. "No, why?" You say as you turn back to look out the front window. "It seems like you have been distant and uncomfortable in my presence. I was just wondering if I did anything to cause it." He says softly, the essence of sadness in his words.

"What no, you didn't-" You start to say while getting up before freezing. 'That's a lie, he is the problem but not in that way.' You sigh before your shoulders slump down, you turn around and make your way to him.  "V, it's a lot more complicated than you think." You simply state. "Yet, you tell Griffon of your concerns and worries." V says, clearly disappointed that you told the bird a secret of yours and not him.

"It's not some cute little secret, it's not a love confession or that I plan on moving somewhere. I have to live and deal with it, not you or Griffon. The only reason I told him was because he wouldn't shut up." You reply back.

"Does anyone else know? Nico or Nero? Maybe even Dante?" He snarls, jealousy coursing through his veins. "No, V!" "Then what is it!"  "I know you're dying!" You scream out, anger and frustration blossoming in your chest. V's face drops into astonishment.

"Happy? I know you're dying and I know the only way to help you is bring you to Urizen where you can reunite with him." You say, eyes filled with a deep pain. V's astonishment is now replaced with fear. "How the hell do you know that?"

"I know everything V, and not cause Griffon told me. You wanna know why I'm so distant? It's the 7th, that means I have 8ish days left to figure out if I either want to kill you or help you. I still have no clue what to do, I thought maybe this time I wouldn't fall for you the way I did. Surprise, I ended up falling even harder because of what I know. I feel no hate or malice coming from you, just a soul who needs to be brought back to his other part. I want to just scoop you up right now and tell you everything will be okay but I know that's not gonna help either one of us." V sat there in silence listening to you, anxiety filling his mind. 

"I want to save you so bad, I hate how Vergil looks at me. Like I'm a puppy he accidentally stepped on, his eyes are so cold yet that lingering pity. I want you to stay so bad but I don't know what would happen if I did. Would you keep slowly dying? What would happen to Dante and Nero? Everything hurts V, and I don't know how to fix it."

"You know everything?" He asks softly, sympathy filling his voice. 

"Yes, I know who you are and I know that Nightmare, Shadow and Griffon are all manifestations of Vergil's old nightmares. I don't just know that though. I know you prefer vanilla over chocolate, I know that you have a mole under your left shoulder blade, that your tattoos trickle a bit down your hips. William Blake is your favourite because of the older gentleman that gave Vergil that book, I am very fully aware that you have all his trauma and have nightmares about it." His eyes widen at your words, not fully expecting the weight of what you knew.

"You knew this yet never told anyone?"

"No, it's not mine to tell. I wanted to, I wanted to talk to you about how I could help or ask Nero if he had advice. I knew though that I couldn't and shouldn't." V sat there, not knowing what to say. You slump in your seat, bringing your knees to your chest. Mumbling to yourself about how you had just screwed up.

so you're telling me. i have to not only accept V's 'death' anniversary today but also know that we are not getting anymore Visions of V cause it's done? what the fuck. capcom pls give V related me something to distract me from my mourning

Uh haha I'm totally fine. 100% did NOT cry when I first saw the panel with Nero in front of Vergil as a child.

Some Personal V Headcanons:

So uhh this is my like first ever official post, please enjoy.

~ V prefers vanilla ice cream over chocolate.

~ V likes butterflies more specifically blue morpho butterflies.

~ V can't cook that well, maybe some grilled cheese or spaghetti but this man burns a lot of stuff. (He did straight up eat a dead demon's meat so uh yee)

~ Continuing with that thought he will love anything that you cook, he's a small dude but he probably got that rapid fast metabolism so he will eat as many courses as you prepare.

~ V CAN PLAY THE VIOLIN PASS IT ON!

~ V wouldn't mind the name Vitale, it would make him feel a lot more himself than just a piece of Vergil, that he himself had his own soul.

~ V would act more as a brother to Nero than a father, but I feel like Nero would be chill with it.

~ V would feel protective over Kyrie, because of how kind and sweet she is he would want her to remain safe.

~ If V found new clothes he would most definitely take them, he may love that his s/o swoon over his outfit but it really is quite not combat ready.

~ Even if V grew strong enough and changed his outfit he would totally keep his cane instead of switching it out with a sword or something.

~ He would probably prefer a s/o who is good at reading people's emotions, he's a very traumatized man who would feel weak telling his s/o about what he's seen.

~ (This is canon but like people haven't read the manga so yeah) V is a very sarcastic ass, if he wanted to he could probably out-do Dante at times. This man a petty bitch but I live for it.

~ Would hold back summoning Nightmare in case his s/o would be freaked out by him and also it takes a lot of energy.

~ (This one's sad/ angering so like skip it) V would probably still return to Urizen even if he had fallen in love with someone, he knows how important it is plus he knows he will die.

~ (This one is a continuation of the last one so again skip) Vergil wouldn't necessarily be kind to you but would have a melancholic look on his face if he saw you after.

~ V would totally collect random wild flowers to go with his poetry, a memoir you could say of the place he was at that time.

~ He knows how much of an effect his voice has on people/ his s/o, he will use it to his advantage when needed.

~ Not the biggest fan of kids because of his childhood but might have children depending on his partner.

~ Wouldn't be a huge fan of his birthday but if you two had a small simple celebration he might tear up.

~ V would want a place of his own then staying at Devil May Cry, he knows how awkward it would be plus his tittering relationship with Dante.

~ Prefers dark colours for his clothes but would wear some nice pastel sweaters when the weather is right.

~ Insecure about how skinny he is, he knows his bones stick out so please don't make a comment about them. (Reader totally decked out Dante before for a comment he made)

~ Would be protective over you, even a little possessive at times but always puts your opinions and needs first.

~ Wouldn't care what you wore, this man walked around with basically his tits out for over a month.

POV: I Already Know Part 2

"V's okay, a little scratch but he'll pull through." Griffon says as he returns back to you. "He's been through worse." You say, still worried about the poet's condition but calm. "You sure do speak in riddles for a mortal, it even puts V on his ass sometimes." He laughs out before speaking again.

"How did you know that V was gonna get attacked while kitty and I were busy fighting up front? There was no sign of any other demons around us. Actually now that I think about it you sure do know a lot about everything and it's timing. You sure you're just mortal?"

"I'm definitely a human, just got "blessed" with re-living hell." You state as Shadow emerges and rubs on your legs. You bend down petting her, a deep purr emitting from her chest.

"Again with the answering but no answers. Seriously I am starting to believe that you are crazy." Griffon keeps talking and you try to block him out, the anxiety of the daunting future creeping up on you. "If I tell you will you shut up!" You bark out, a bit surprised at your own anger. Griffon nods, excited and intrigued about finally finding out.

"You have to promise not to tell V, if you do then I don't know what will happen." You say pausing while Griffon nods before starting again. "I know everything, not about the universe but about this whole situation. I know how Urizen and V came to be, I know that V plans on reconnecting with Urizen. I know that you, Shadow and Nightmare are from Vergil. I know everything, I even know how this all ends." You let out, the burden of knowledge lessening a bit. Silence fills the room, you too scared to look at the bird.

"How and why do you know that?"

"I already lived through this. It's been a year since this for me yet I somehow got sent back by something. They though gifted me with memories I didn't even know like Vergil took Nero's arm and Nero finding Lady in that demon."

"Holy shit." "I know." "And you've just been living with this for the past month?" "What else was I supposed to do? Tell V 'Hey, yeah I know that you are the last fragments of Vergil's humanity and emotions. I know this because I got sent back in time.' Do you know what that could have done?"

"I don't know what to tell ya kid, and here I was thinking that you were just some weird spiritual freak." "Yeah now take that and put on 'I saw the love of my life die and now I am around him again and have no clue what to do.'" "Jesus Christ, is that why you and V haven't jumped each other bones' yet? You already have another lover?"

"You could say that." Let's face it we both know V was the one you were deeply in love with, and he reciprocated it which made this whole problem even worse.

"Although with how I've been acting, the dude I fell in love with probably thinks I am a complete psycho." Griffon laughs at before getting up and starting to take off.

"V still thinks you're pretty neat so if you need a distraction he's always there. Plus with everything you know then you know he won't be clingy." He says before leaving to go check on V again. His words picked at your heartstrings, and you mutter to yourself. Shadow still rubbing at you but more in a comforting manner now.
