Calling out into the void - anyone have bad uterine fibroids develop while they have vaginismus?? It's a fun game of did I suddenly develope endo or do I have a benign cluster of cells leeching off of me causing random pain?
15 shots to the vagina later. Hopefully pain free until, you know labor.
I never want to hear that women are weak.
Holy fuck.
“I’m not sure why people’s first instinct is to blame the person who is sick for being sick, but in my experience, it usually is. I can’t imagine going up to someone who wears glasses and telling them their vision problems are probably just because they aren’t eating a vegan diet and keeping a positive attitude, but crazier things have happened. As much as I wish my chronic pain were in my control, it isn’t. And as much as people want to imply that it is somehow my fault that I am sick, it just isn’t.”
- Vagina Problems by Lara Parker
having vulvodynia and vaginismus is crazy like it’s really just pussy out of order 24/7
I've got two books (nonfiction, memoirs) about endometriosis and chronic pain which were written years apart and both authors have very similar experiences re: not being taken seriously by medical professionals and not getting a diagnosis for years, DESPITE endometriosis being something that, contrary to popular belief, isn't just a "woman's issue". first of all yes anyone with a womb can have it, including trans men or intersex people, but also I've learned that there have been rare cases of cis men diagnosed with this. also even IF it was "just women" who got this, isn't that enough? when 1 in 20 women suffers like this, isn't that enough to do more research and try to find a cure? or at least a treatment?
TMI but y'all ever come back from your first pelvic exam in tears? Just me?
I mean the doctors were women. They were nice. But the experience was so painful and left me sore and bleeding. I just wanted to cry during the exam, but I didnt because I am Latina and machista. But as soon as I got home, oh boy, did the tears start coming down.
I know as women we should get them and I was having some pretty bad symptoms in the down stairs, you know where area. But like I am a virgin, and honestly asexual. I dont like to be touched especially down there. So the whole experience was traumatizing even though the doctor and nurse we really nice.
Is it just me. Am I just a big baby? Was it because I am a virgin and maybe it will be easier and not cause bleeding when I am not. I just assume it was because I juat couldnt relax, but again tmi I have always been super dry down there. Even when I have really heavy periods. I am unable to wear tampons and insertion takes anywhere between 10-30min (tampons) and I only can bear them for like a minute and then removing is painful. And the tampon always tears.
Like I told them this and so they lubed up the instruments extra good, but man it was terrible.
Everything hurts and I’m dying
Having a vagina SUCKS
