19. any new fics to start next year

Hmm, new fics. Lots of OT3 things!

Maybe some Deacon POV of certain happenings in Bring the Gasoline, some of his thoughts back then, and how he/Mac/Nat might feel about those moments now.

Maybe more pre-OT3 one-shots? Depends on how far I get with BtG.

feel like I've done a fair amount of material with the three of them, so I'm also looking forward to doing more one-shots that still have that throuple relationship incorporated/present, but focus more directly on the pairings within the throuple to develop them a little more.

A while back, I previewed a tiny piece of an OT3 one-shot where Piper snoops around and thinks she's connected some dots, but hasn't connected shit. I definitely still want to do that idea.

I might also need to make a DeaCready Casino Royale AU happen because I haven't been able to stop thinking about MacCready sliding into a train seat across from Deacon with that smirk and saying "I'm the money."

I don't know if this is on the docket next year or not, but I have heaps of notes about Deacon x Mac x Nat's first time together, and also some scribbles for a Nat x Deacon-centric smut piece, and some for a "we make good on tying Mac up next time" piece where Mac acts up quite a bit and Nat x Deacon have to employ some creative tactics.

I wish the player houses would reset more often, because a lot of the decorations are like food and alchemy ingredients and I pick those up because I'm a hoarder but the houses look so bare without them :/

Also Hjerim is too big. There's so much open space in that place and for what? I just don't like big open spaces in houses, it feels like a waste to me. Oh and aside from the Hearthfire houses, Vlindrel Hall is the best player house for the same reasons I stated in my Markarth post

3. Are there any fics that inspired you to write what you do?

What Comes After by JayceCarter was a sort of inspiration for multiple fics. I loved the pairing of Deacon/Scribe Haylen and I loved it so much I wrote 15,000 words for it. I also fell in love with the soulmate trope I wrote a fic for that, too. And I’m working on another. Also @its-sixxers work More Ghosts than People and l’Appel du Vide were inspiring all on their own, they made me want to be a better writer.

13.  Do you outline your fics? How much of a headache would someone get if they just looked at an outline of yours without reading the fic?

I outline some, mostly in short sentences or paragraphs that remind me of the next scene or specific dialog I want to put in. I think there would be minimal headache, mostly confusion. Most of my fics are just word vomit of ideas with barely coherent plot anyways.

23.  What’s your absolute favorite trope to write?

Oh man, probably mutual pining, dumbasses to lovers, neither know that the other is head over heels. I love it so much, especially paired with a fake dating or undercover thing.

33.  What do you like writing better: one shots or multi-chapter stuff?

Multi-chapter for sure! When I try to write one-shots I can never seem to keep it short, there’s always more I want to say. The one exception is angst, if they die, the fic is over!

43.  Talk about a positive experience with fanfiction or the fanfiction community that you will always remember.

Honestly, @its-sixxers @theinkspots @crenarei you!!!! @adventuresofmeghatron and so many others have just been so supportive with kind words and encouragement. Every time I need help with a fic or just someone to tell me my writing isn’t terrible I can reach out to one of them or @cheesepuffbar @kvltprince @randomfuzzbunny and so many others in the Fallout and writing community. It’s really amazing.

21. What's a fact you haven't shared about your OC?

Hm. I'm not sure if this is common knowledge (I know I've only shared this with about four people ever), but when Em gets older (like around sixty and older, I haven't quite narrowed down yet), the cryo sleep really affects her, and she slowly goes blind as a result, being completely blind by around sixty-five. By the time they're settled in the Midwest, Mac is fine with taking care of her. Em is still pretty independent, so she eventually adapts, so the first while is hard for her until she learns to adapt without eyesight. Needless to say, she has finished practicing medicine by then.

My oc David Knox is from NYC, and he only moved to Boston because his wife Sonya got a really great job offer there. Since he works construction he was fine giving up his job so that she could pursue hers.

Oh, that’s so interesting!  I’m particularly partial to SoSus who are from other states.  Charlie is from West Virginia!  She and Nate moved to Massachusetts after she got a postdoctoral fellowship at Medford Memorial Hospital in the neuropsychology department.

Nope, not yet.

Definitely! I want some covering my chest and shoulders and maybe also one on my neck?

36: Where I would like to live

Ideally, in the countryside somewhere where mountains and sea meet. So probably in one of the Scandinavian countries? Or Scotland? But this is mostly wishful thinking, I guess.

I’m a basic bitch. Stracciatella and cherry/yoghurt are my go-to flavours.

4. Share a sentence or paragraph from your writing that you’re really proud of (explain why, if you like)

TBH this was kinda tough, but I decided to pick one of my more recent fics for this :3 (Helps that Spotify went “Hey remember this song?” and played GeminEye by The Megas which...honestly makes me think about Nick & the Mysterious Stranger SO)

Nick, reluctantly, placed his gun next to the Stranger’s. Funny. He now knew the murder weapon, the exact gun that had killed, hundreds, maybe thousands of folks over the decades… The thought did not settle well with Nick. Not in the slightest.

‘I’ve had it for as long as I could remember.’

Nick blinked as his eyes readjusted and focused on the Stranger. “...How far back can you remember?”

‘Far enough.’ A smirk played on his lips, ‘I doubt you’d believe my answer.’

Nick glared at him. “Considering you’re dodging the question-.”

Stranger raised his hands in defense. ‘You’ve got the mind of a skeptic. Do you not?’

Nick took a step forward. “I prefer evidence. Facts.”

Stranger nodded. ‘I have no doubt. Smart man like you knows what to look for. Conclusions to make.’

I really love dialogue. It’s hands down one of my fav parts about writing and boy howdy writing these two’s dynamic was so damn fun to play around with. Here’s Nick, finally confronting the “man” he’s been “chasing” for years and here’s Stranger having a bit of fun with the detective attempting to solve his Mysterious nature. As my friend @glitchvault74 and I have described their relationship “Its a cat and mouse game where they both think they are the cat and the other is a mouse. Only one of them is correct.”

14. At what point in writing do you come up with a title?

It varies honestly! Sometimes its what I call the idea I’m writing shorthand and it sticks. Other times its cause of a song I’m listening to while writing. And other other times its related to the prompt OR I get super stuck on the goddamn title when I’m nearly finished that it slaps me XD

24. Would you say your writing has changed over time?

Oh for sure. I saw a huge spike of a dif last year when I started On Top of Sanctuary Hills and Far Away. Like. pre-dating that fic, details description outside of character movements n such was not clicking.... I’ve gotten a hell of a lot more descriptive and honestly... character thoughts have also helped boost my word count XD
