As promised, here’s some unfinished AU art Im releasing for @therafofgod ‘s commission who requested Vampire/Werewolf AU content

Summary:

Basira promised to take Jon out if he fed again. He fed again. She took him out.

Martin notices when he feels suddenly free from the institute and does three things immediately:

1. Notices that he's just received a text on his phone from Peter Lukas that 'it's over' and that Jon is dead

2. Sends an ambulance to Jon's house (the man never gets out so in all likelihood that's where he is)

3. Hurries to Jon's house himself

Thus begins a journey of avenging flame-thrower wielding Martin Blackwood and his inexperienced dabbling in necromancy to bring his precious archivist back from the dead. This goes about as well as can be expected.

Summary:

Private solicitor Jonathan Sims is a long way from home when, for the first time in decades, he sees something he can’t explain away.

He knows enough to fear the monsters that smile with too-sharp teeth, and knows it’s too late to hope both he and his assistant could survive their stay at Castle Magnus. The only thing he can think is to save Martin.

For once, one of Jon’s plans goes off without a hitch. Martin is saved, and in exchange, Jon’s life is forfeit.

Really, the only mistake he made was assuming that death was the end of the story.

I haven't posted much from my sketchbook (since it's not as polished), but you guys liked my last post so much I thought I'd share my silly sketchbook doodles

Hihi! For the art strength/weakness thing, I really couldn't think of any particular weaknesses to your art. I guess one thing if you really pushed me to pick a thing to work on is it might be interesting to mess around with lighting more? It helps to bring a lot of drama and interesting color scenarios to a piece and I don't see a ton of that sort of stuff in the art you post on here. As for strengths, I love how you play with lines?? The way you use curves and line thickness really add to to the movement of a given piece. The variation in line weight really helps guide the viewer towards the more important aspects of the piece without being too distracting or stiff. Also your colors are super pretty and cohesive <3

Thanks for the advice! I tried to apply it for this piece, I think ill try to do the same with other peoples ask and commentary from now on (that’s why I haven’t answered them yet even if I’m incredible grateful for the feedback! Artist or no artist, it’s pertinent for me to know what others see with my art)
