u people have got to get more normal ab people who don't make sense to u . I mean like people who ramble on and don't know how to have proper conversation . people who are completely incomprehensible . people who talk about delusions and hallucinations . people who can't understand social cues . people with speech impediments or no speech at all . people with vocal tics . not just because it's the decent thing to do but also bc this is most common in the most vulnerable marginalized people . youth , elders , mentally ill , disabled , addicts as well as more generally people with accents & non English speakers .

this post is kinda spreading beyond what I initially thought, so to be clear , I love trans women and I will block u if u believe in transandrophobia . u cannot fight ableism while perpetuating misogyny . please reblog this version instead

I hate that not understanding something or getting confused or mixed up is always moralized . like no its not because I "wasn't reading" or "not paying attention" or I "don't care" or on purpose . I just have brain damage etc but that's usually seen as an excuse 🫠🫠 be nicer to intellectually disabled people !!!!! be patient , be understanding , but whatever u do don't minimize their symptoms as some kind of intentional incompetence or having a cold heart . misunderstandings are just that , not a secret signal into someone's malicious plan to feign disability for .... no reason ?

actually I think that children and youth deserve to have meaningful positions of power and voice , *especially* when it pertains to them . how fucking absurd is it we have a national system of infrastructure that revolves entirely around caring for children and educating them for over a decade and there are (almost) *zero* children who have any way to improve this system ? how absurd is it that staff will joke about how student councils don't actually have any power or choice and its just a club ? this makes me soooo mad , that its completely normal to deny a class of vulnerable minorities any agency or autonomy , and then not only that but to say even when they age into being a Real Person that they still don't deserve power or have wisdom on the basis of age alone .

something weird to me about a tme reading of Kris is I notice the people who hc them as transmasc see the things Kris does in the past like the pranks and the way people around them percieved this* (coming back to this) as a Cool Guy Vibe , that they're for lack of better words , boyish and playful. that they're mean in a fun playful way that's intended to be mean. that scaring Noelle and being "creepy" are on purpose as an act of agency. and like , if it was just that its not necessary a horrible thing but a huge missing piece I don't see mentioned by them is that's not how the other characters act . and without acknowledging that it kinda . falls flat for me

a lot of the adults are kinda . weird and aprehensive towards Kris , not to say on purpose at all , but in the church hometown portion (and actually like . most hometown parts rlly dig this feeling into the player) its especially present in talking to toriel , Rudy , and Noelle. asking Noelle about a "key" will have her say "did u mean I was off key?" and toriel hears and interrupts from a different conversation to tell Kris not to tease her. the way toriel and Rudy assume Kris will sing swears . a lot of people treat Kris as if they're just inherently wrong or scary & I'm sure there's plenty more I can't remember exactly right now . my point being theres a level of automatic assumption Kris is harmful , nd like this definitely is apparent , it gives that uncomfortable feeling of alienation and isolation . and Kris also doesn't seem to be very happy about it , looking at what they tell Noelle in her room in weird route . i don't think Kris is like 100% never done anything wrong and is a pure innocent smol bean but it kinda sounds like they were just trying to play and they didn't understand everything about other people/emotions but having the weight of that history being shoved in their face over and over again to hammer in how "bad" they are. doubly so when u take trauma into account

nd like . idk , I think if I was treated like a threat constantly because of an asset of my past self was seen as unchanging and dangerous i really wouldn't want to like . do More pranks yk . like it's just such a huge thing they do when they characterize Kris and its so hard to look past , id get it if it was just a self pleasing hc but to argue that this reading of Kris is *better* is bizzare . I just think Maybe There Is Another Demographic That Relates Better (and has been explaining such for awhile)

this pride month help a nonbinary disabled & mentally ill black lesbian in an abusive home !!!

my best friend omu ( @omu-lette , who I'm posting for bc they aren't super active for lack of energy) is currently trapped living with abusive and neglectful family right now after finishing their graduating year of art college & is insecurely housed !!! the college has withheld accommodation making xem more disabled & they are often starved , forced to raise their parents baby , having medical care/access revoked , and harassed . right now xe have a tooth rotting that NEEDS treatment asap & is causing a sinus infection !! this is all on top of bigotry from family and worsening disability. they have no energy for self care or school/work after being forced to do so much labour . omu needs help being able to get food , saving up to escape , and paying for medical care that would dramatically improve their ability to help themself and enter the job market on a good footing for success . please help my bff by reblogging & donating even 1$ !!! (don't just like) and be a part of helping the black queer community 💗
