A conversation between Tsunade and Akiko, After Naruto leaves the village with the Toad Sage
Tsunade turned to look at Akiko who was still staring out of her office's window. Her expression was one of wistful sorrow and hidden love, something that she had seen in her own face when she thought about Jiraiya and all the possibilities that could have been.
"You miss him don't you?" The fifth Hokage asked. Tsunade heard a tired sigh in return.
"Of course I do, he's my son," Akiko answered her eyes still turned outwards, searching for someone who has long gone.
"That's not who I'm talking about," Tsunade says, staring intently at Akiko's facial expression.
"I know." was the soft reply.
"I...do miss him so very much. But there isn't much that I can do about that." Akiko spoke up again, her voice thickening as she spoke.
"Why haven't you told him?" Tsunade asks, she has an idea, after all, she is the head medic and does have access to the psych evaluations files as Hokage.
"I can't. I won't." A deep breath.
"I won't put that pressure on his shoulders. He's...not ready. I don't think he ever will be. He just needs someone who is just there." Akiko says sadly and resigned to her place in life.
"So you're never going to tell him that you love him," Tsunade states as she too looks out the windows and over the village.
There is no answer to her statement, only the silence of mutual understanding as the two women think on the regrets of the past and the days of the future to come.
I use my language very specifically even if that's not my intent.
I use it to be as vague as I want to be. Which is sometimes not at all!
two in one night how lovely.
I want to laugh at everyone freaking out over the bear but I also want to join in on the freaking out
Updates on Life
Life is really busy at the moment and i feel stretched in 50 000 different directions. Yet some of the things that i wish would change dont. when will they? Will they ever? im so done with some of this stuff.
Statement
In accordance to my theme of “Vagueness”, for my project I aimed to create abstract and ambiguous images using photography and photoshop. With my works I also sought for them to generate an interesting atmosphere and elicit a response from the viewer. Photography is an unorthodox medium to use when wanting to create vague images. In this project, the works subvert the idea of traditional photography. Since its creation, photography has been vastly used for capturing a perfect likeness of its subject matter. By distorting and blurring the image, the audience cannot tell what the image is of, completely negating the role of the photograph. Instead, they now view only the colours and shapes which the camera has captured. The viewer, after failing to distinguish what the photo is of, now is able appreciate the work without being concerned about a real-life image and see it for what it is: an abstract artwork not bound to depicting reality. Abstract work then, in a sense, can have universal appeal as it challenges and engages the audience on a deeper and more personal level regardless of the level of art education. The images leave interpretation up to the viewer.
When I was conducting my experiments I was concerned with photographing interesting light spectacles. Whilst I think many of my experiments are successful, I wanted my work to be colourful. This led me to photograph during a sunset.
Work 1)
This is a photograph of the sky taken during sunset. Created by jerky camera movement and long aperture. Edited in photoshop.
Work 2)
This is another photograph of the sky taken during sunset. Created by jerky camera movement and long aperture. Edited in photoshop.
Work 3)
This is a montage of images showing the transition of a dark to light sky. It is edited in a way to suggest a sunrise. Images created by jerky camera movement and long aperture.
Final Art 3
This is rendered image made up in photoshop of a line or “army” of trash cans on the street. This is a satire on how we are at war with garbage and waste. I used the dots to illustrate a mass spreading and concentrated density. With the use of burn and dodge tools i was able to lighten and darken certain areas of this image. I wanted the “recycling” sign to stand out on the actual bins, and the lids of the bins to be lower in contrast.
