A delicious and nutritious meat-free burger made with black beans, quinoa, and veggies. Perfect for a healthy and satisfying meal.
Ingredients: 1 cup cooked quinoa. 1 can 15 oz black beans, drained and rinsed. 1/2 cup breadcrumbs. 1/4 cup grated carrot. 1/4 cup diced red bell pepper. 1/4 cup diced onion. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 tsp chili powder. 1/2 tsp cumin. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 whole wheat burger buns. Lettuce, tomato, and your choice of toppings. Olive oil for cooking.
Instructions: Use a fork or potato masher to mash the black beans in a large bowl. To the bowl, add cumin, chili powder, salt, pepper, grated carrot, diced red bell pepper, diced onion, minced garlic, and cooked quinoa. Mix the ingredients together until they are well mixed. Make burger patties out of the four equal parts of the mixture. Put the skillet or grill pan on medium heat and add a little olive oil to it. They should be cooked for four to five minutes on each side, or until they are firm and golden brown. You can lightly toast the whole wheat burger buns in a pan or a toaster. Put your choice of toppings, lettuce, and tomato on the bottom bun. Then put the black bean quinoa patty on top of that. Finally, put the top bun on top of that. Make your Meat-Free Burger, serve it hot, and enjoy it!
