Penrose Steps — Info

Penrose Steps is a Link Click poetry anthology currently looking for contributors.

Poets will write new, previously unpublished poems for the anthology. Spot artists will create illustrations to complement the poems. More details on expectations can be found in the application form!

There will be a 4 month creation period, with one check-in per month to demonstrate progress.

The anthology will be SFW (violence/mildly suggestive content are fine, but should stay at a T-rating). All ages are welcome to apply.

The resulting anthology will be released for free digitally when it's complete. Copies may be printed, but they'll be either pay for production or printed on demand; i.e. not for profit. We're currently looking into options for printing!

(Updated) Schedule:

Now - May 5th: applications open (find the form here!)

May 5th - June 5th: acceptances/rejections + pitches + poet/artist pairing

June 5th: creation begin

July 5th: check in 1

August 5th: check in 2

Sept 5th: check in 3

Oct 5th - onwards: final check in + anthology formatting etc.

The schedule is tentative at the moment and builds in room for extensions or delays. We expect the complete, finalized anthology to be released in December 2026/January 2027.

We don't currently have a set number of contributors that we expect to accept— this will vary depending on the number of applicants, the ratio of artists to poets, and other factors. Acceptances/rejections will be emailed soon after the application period has closed. Please keep an eye out!
