I apologise that this isn’t blue and I don’t normally post this kind of thing on this blog. But Ean is a good friend of mine and the man who introduced me to tumblr. I’ve been cheering for him as he started his gender transition and fled an abusive family situation to live in Arizona with another friend of ours. (I have his permission to say this.) He’s the one who helped me come out as aromantic and bisexual and supported me through a lot of difficulties.

I know money is hard right now but this blog has about 15,000 followers so if even a portion of you donated a tiny amount we could make sure he doesn’t start having seizures again. Thank you so much.

Realizing that you’ve lost a newly refilled bottle of anti-seizure medication that costs over $1,000 sometime between now and when you left for the camping trip, and you only have half a day’s dose left without it.

Going off one of my meds; A terrible suggestion

I took my last vimpat today.  This evening and the rest of the week/month I’ll be adjusting to a vimpat-free body, which I haven’t had since... 2014?  I’m still on two other meds, but we’re trying to go down a bit since the VNS is doing its thing pretty well.

I saw the VNS nurse last week and told him I’ve been having more seizures this month, which is true.  I spent Saturday sleeping off a cluster.  Hopefully once I’ve stabilized on no-vimpat it will go back to as good as it was.

I really don’t want to go back on vimpat.  Two daily meds + four daily vitamins is enough for me.

What about you?  Adjusted your meds recently?  Want to?  Blow my mind with how many vitamins you take.

Also: Whenever I end up with a bunch of differently-colored pills (at the moment they’re just white and shades of pink) I want to make a mosaic of them.  I just think it would be pretty.  

Ever done it?  Share pics!  (But leave a few in the bottom of each bottle so you don’t forget what color pill goes in which container.  That part’s important.)

i love calling to get my vimpat prescription refilled and then all 8 (eight) operators im passed through are annoyed at me right up until they hear dr. collins and theyre like "oh. you need your schedule 5 siezure medication. oh fuck. yes ill send you to the next guy. so,,,, so sorry sir."
