hello voltron fandom(if you’re still here)

tiktok is bringing it up on my fyp and i decided to rewatch it. while the fixation was short lived, i decided to rework on my oc that i had in 2018. kylara was originally a persona, but at this point, she’s definitely not.

kylara is the “space auntie” of the group, having been their combat instructor at the galaxy garrison before joining voltron. while she was with them at the time, she does her own thing once she gets to altea. speaking of,

she is the daughter of an earth man and an altean man that was apart of a colony of surviving alteans…or so he said before leaving when she was young. being half altean with obvious traits, kylara had to adapt as she grew older. she learned what she could do as an altean as she grew older and was able to blend in with society, except for the ears, which she lied and said it was a birth defect.

while kylara is my main focus, i have a voltron rewrite that actually had her father as one of the main focuses in later seasons. let’s just say that season six is wildly different.

now, i actually ship her with both lotor and allura. she was always shipped with lotor and the allura thing is a more recent decision. i’m considering making it a vee relationship since i actually don’t ship lotura. not for the reasonings of season six, but because i never imagined allura actually liking men. romelle and allura were my otp for a long time and still are.

So here’s another oc I had in mind for awhile now, her name is Immra’h and she is the child of the youngest Zunir matriarch and Zarkon, from back when he was still a prince, long before he became the Black Paladin and met Honerva, but during this time, Galra relations with other species were rather civil, especially with the planets Altea and Helior. Zarkon and the matriarch eventually parted ways on friendly terms, neither one aware of what was to come. Immra’h was basically left in the dark of who her father was, that is until many years later and a banished Lotor sought to make alliances with the failed ones his father once had in an effort for peace and civil relations, and better treatment of half galras as war waged and his father’s conquest for control and quintessence resulted in prejudices towards Galra halflings in other societies, including their own (Lotor himself, his generals,etc). It would backfire.

The knowledge of of who their father was only motivated her further to fight for their planet and prove that she was nothing like the monster Zarkon became.

This is basically a rough idea of what Zunir and crescent sun armor would look like, heavy influence from phoenix motifs (thinking phoenixes might have significance in Zunir culture and mythos), fire nation armor, sun and fire/warm colors and motifs, samurai and medieval knight armor, and perhaps the robes in “journey”, but that might just be due to similar color scheme lol

The names ‘tails’, ‘heatseekers’, ‘and vine surfers’ are my own personal nicknames for the Zunir breeds until I come up with official names for them, tails having a common ancestor with natives of the planet Sabalta (@bananasfosterparent)

The crescent sun are an organization founded by the Zunir matriarchs and the Ziphnite royals, with the intention of preserving their planets heritages and cultures, trading, and seeking allies with other planets. However, the Ziphnite faction more or less serves the Galra in efforts to keep their planet from hostile takeover (think something similar to the deal between ants and grasshoppers in A Bug’s Life), and the Helior faction became underground resistance group.

I’ve only really ever seen Shiro’s parents in one or two comics, and they’re usually portrayed as incredibly traditional. So I kind of changed it up. I based her off of Kyoko Honda from Fruits Basket in personality.

Spring Time With Mom

This is my new Voltron OC, Nebula. She’s also my first second fursona. I’m including a dark and light background so you can see it better, plus the sketches so you can see her expressions. :) Feel free to ask Nebula any questions!

This is my most detailed reference sheet I have ever done! I even zoomed in really close to make sure the space mice were colored properly. XD Also, Kosmo is a very fluffy space doggo.

Below are the details, including those not in the photo. It explains the species. Galakami are what Lance turns into in one of my future fanfiction stories.

Galakami are alien wolves. Their fur ranges in colors of the sky, from light blue with puffs of white, to sunsets and galaxies. They have glowing markings that change with their emotions. The neutral color depends on their fur color and personality. Their glowing marking can vary, but usually have at least a circle at the wing bases and a stripe or two along the back. They can conjure up their wings at will. Their wings vary, but stay the same with each Galakami. They can be feathered, bat-like, or insect-like. Some have antennae. Galakami are very rare creatures. They can be fierce, but once they trust someone, they’re very loyal. They can understand most languages, but have trouble speaking them with telepathy.

Nebula is a Star Galakami, one of the rarest furs. She crashed into Earth near a farm. She met Lance and Pidge, who was visiting for a few days. They helped nurse her back to health. She’s still learning English, but she has told them her name. She often steals Lance’s jacket to use as a bed. She tries to help Pidge with her experiments. She likes to play with Kosmo, but he ignores her. She’s gentle with the space mice and space caterpillars. Hunk got her a lion chewtoy. She adores Hunk and was a little weary of Keith at first, but she gets along with anyone Pidge and Lance trust. She loves Matt’s scratches behind the ear.

She has deep purple and blue (tips of paws, tail, and ears) fur with stars of white, green, and blue. Her markings’ neutral color is bright green. Her eyes are light blue with dark blue irises. Her wings are translucent blue dragonfly wings. Her nose, ear fluff, and paw pads are bright blue. Her antennae is the same color as the light of her irises. Her tongue is the same color as her wings at full color, and the inside of her mouth is the darker blue next to it on the color circles (that isn’t related to the wings). The wings are lined in black, then put on overlay.
