Bellamort drabble. Prompt: Angst.

"Why did you let the mudblood live!" Voldemort exclaims angrily, wand drawn as he turns on the spot, cloaks blazing as he glares at his most loyal lieutenant. Bellatrix finds herself flinching as the dark lord steps forward and snaps his hand through the air, knocking Bella's wand onto the wooden floor of the Malfoy Manor.

Bellatrix was aware the dark lord believed her to be a heartless torture addict but something about the way the mudblood had been screaming and crying so violently lead Bellatrix to withdraw- a decision she now regretted as Voldemort snapped and spat at her, like she was worthless to him once more.

"We needed her alive, my love. She knew things we didn't" Bella whispers in defence, looking down at her feet; her curled, wild hair falling over her guilty eyes.

"Betrayal." Is all Voldemort spat, turning his back on Bellatrix and pacing down the room, floorboards creaking in fear under his presence. "You betray our greatest cause then have the nerve to address me as your love?" Bellatrix swallows and feels her stomach churn, hating being treated this way. She wears a childish pout as her bambi eyes dare to look up to the dark lord, batting her lashes innocently. "But I do love you, my lord." She says, her voice croaky and broken, causing Voldemort to turn his head and study Bellatrix's emotion.

"Have I hurt you, my dear Bellatrix?" He questions, stepping closer to the raven haired death eater. Bellatrix swallows. Hard. "No, m'lord. I deserved it, m'lord"
