Could you do a headcanon about the guard (especially Felix and maybe Alec) with an s/o who’s afraid of thunder? ❤️❤️❤️
A/N: Thank you for requesting this adorable little headcanon set! I added a few of my favorite guards but if anyone would like the see any other characters for this, just say so.
Pairings: Felix x Reader; Alec x Reader; Demetri x Reader; Santiago x Reader; Renata x Reader; Heidi x Reader.
Felix is naturally protective over his love...but not even a vampire can face down thunder. He would, of course, for you he'd do anything! But he can't control the weather so he does the next best thing, the clever creature he is, by making a soundproof room.
It's a little room hidden behind a bookshelf (he'd been wanting to build one of those forever) and full of your favorite things: a bed to cuddle in, little things to distract you (books, movies, and games), a stash of snacks, anything for the hobbies you enjoy. The two of you will hide out together and wait for the thunder to subside, Felix going out to check before retuning for you.
Walking into the sunshine hand in hand, you'll always declare that he must have scared the thunder off, kissing him sweetly and proclaiming him a hero!
"Oh? I'm your knight in shining armor then?"
And he is, the bravest of knights being rewarded by his true love with the sweetest kiss.
Alec show a certain softness in times like this.
It's not a part of him many others see, in truth, only you and Jane are ever afforded his sort of softness. But he knows what it is to be afraid, to just want something to stop or for someone to hold you...so he will hold you.
When the storms come, Alec will abandoned whatever he was doing at once and race to your side.
He knows that you'll already be awake and quite frightened but, far more importantly, you'll be waiting for him. When the thunder comes, so does Alec. He'll wait out the storm with you, holding you to his chest and staying by your side. He's even able to lull you back to sleep, smiling as you slumber against his heart.
"Sweet dreams, my love..."
Demetri will deal with fear the only way he knows how: through distraction.
He can't chase thunder away so instead, he finds another way around it, that being music. When the thunder rolls in to shake the skies, Demetri will find you and bring with him a pair of headphones, a CD player, and all of your favorite music. The two of you will hide together, music drowning out the storm.
And when you can smile and laugh again, the fear slowly fading away, he will dance with you.
Spinning around the room, the sun will come down upon you together, Demetri shining as the sun in the center of your heart. Gravitating towards his warmth, you come alive once more for him, only for him.
He just loves your smile, kissing you until you're giggling and falling more and more in love.
Santiago knows that there will be a time when you fear nothing.
Vampires fear only fire and the Volturi but you are no vampire. You are a mortal, heart beating in your chest and blood pulsing through your veins, and you are still weak, still afraid...but you can be afraid with him. The day will come when thunder means little to you but today it is terrifying and he is here with you.
Santiago will hold you close and listen to the frightened fluttering song of your heart, whispering softly in a mixture of French and English.
He will hold you and kiss you and, when you are afraid, he will be brave for you.
"Come here, darling, I am here."
And he is, Santiago is always there for you. Neither wind nor rain nor sea nor fire could ever keep him apart from you. One day, you will be of his venom and courage but for now, you are afraid...and he is here.
Renata hates that she cannot protect you from this. Her power drives away enemies of animal, monster, and man...not thunder and lightning. If she could drive it away, then she would, without hesitation.
But because she cannot, Ren will find something else to do.
She'll come to bed with you, wearing one of your shirts and putting on a movie she knows that you like. Maybe, she hopes, if she holds you close enough and kisses you enough and watches every movie you love a thousand times over, maybe then things will get a little bit better. And they do. In some small way things get a little better, the shaking subsiding into soft smiles and little kisses.
"Kiss me again, honey, I think it's working."
It's a little game you play together, if you kiss a thousand and one times, perhaps the wind and rain will cease and the sun will shine once more.
Heidi will chase the terror away.
She cannot charm thunder nor can she chase away lightning. But she can make you smile, can't she? And she can love you like no one else ever has, closing the curtains to keep the lightning out and humming over then thunder.
In her human life, Heidi actually shared this fear of yours.
So she knows what it is to be afraid of thunderstorms and will comfort you to the best of her ability. At the very least, the modern era allows her to know when such things are on the way and she can plan for an event. She buys a boatload of gifts in advance and makes a day of hiding away with you, the vampire and her libeling safe and sound and madly in love.
"Hush, thunder! You're bothering my love!"
Only Heidi would scold the sky with such ferocity and all for you, shutting the curtains and coming back to kiss you again and again...
