Alright, you've talked me into it! Here's why Its FUCK Walker Forever!!! 🖕🏾🖕🏾🖕🏾
This is going to have way more detail than it needs. Because I've been waiting for a chance to rip this mf a new one.
to be honest i dont think I'm saying anything remotely revolutionary perhaps its not even unpopular so much as unsaid. And I feel that should change because he should be way more hated or at least treated like a much more insidious threat than he is.
because this shit is incredibly obvious if you just like. look at him.
If you dont get it than hopefully by the end of my Hateration Post it should become obvious in hindsight.
And hey i only got back into the fandom like. Last year. Perhaps im gassing myself up for what is such well trodden knowledge that nobody bothers to discuss it anymore.
But i also know that certain demographics will miss shit. Even if it's obvious to anyone else.
But, going against the typical mode for essays, i will be making my thesis statement at the End of the post rather than the beginning.
First lets do a breakdown of Walker. We'll start with physical characteristics.
Fashion is a timestamp. So let's see what we can glean from the information presented to us.
As much as I hate to admit it, the fit is clean.😔 But since i hate him, im going to roast his ass anyway. ✌🏾🥰 Lets have another look at this guy:
He's in a white double-breasted suit with shoulder pads (compensating much?) and an unusually low hemline (like it wants to be a trench coat and can't pull it off.) With pants that have a loose fit in the legs and distinct stripes going down into his (weird, floppy looking) boots on his (disproportionately small) feet. Then he's rocking a cowboy hat (big head havin ahh) that wants to be a fedora so badly (ngl girl its kinda giving desperate.)
All jokes aside. The suit is probably the strongest piece of grounding evidence regarding the time period that Walker was presumably alive. Given the stylized nature of the character design it's hard to line up an exact match, but the two closest matches for the cut/inspiration for his suit would be either the film noir style trench coats or, contrastingly, zoot suits.
Walker does clearly harken to the grizzled cynicism of film noir but frankly the amount of material that give the legs of the pants that baggy look, combined with what I can only believe to be pinstripes, has me leaning zoot suit.
Zoot suits were created by Black Americans around the 1920s gaining larger popularity during the 30s on the Chitlin' Circuit.
It later became popular in the Latino community in the late 30s early 40s.
And despite the fact that it was veiwed as "un-American" and "wasteful" when Black folks did it, and considered to be a sign of "criminal association" when it came to Latinos (hello Zoot Suit Riots), unsurprisingly when Afro American jive talk got gentrified suddenly white people were cool with zoot suits. Shocker.
White folks would have been rocking this uncredited number around the 40s. Coincidentally, the film noir look would have also placed him at this time. Classic film noir time range would put his fashion in the 50s at the latest.
For our purposes the two would be largely interchangeable w/regards to Why He's The Worst Actually.
Next the hat and the boots. Theres a non zero chance that they are cowboy boots and given the hat i feel it is a safe assumption. I dont ever recall seeing spurs on them but it would serve to confirm. But spurs or no we are assuming cowboy.
To be honest Walkers fashion choice was always a bit odd to me as it harkens to a 1940s urban coast, despite the fact that Amity park is in the midwest and his accessories clearly derive from more rustic American southern aesthetics. Strangely fashion forward, given that he comports himself as a disciplinarian, but as someone who has lived in the south (though this has lessened with the dawn of social media) fashion trends can be on a delay before making their way down here. This could place him a bit later closer to the 50s. Regardless. The clearest part of his design choice being the cowboy hat, means the rest of his look was probably purely vibes based on the part of the creators.
Even his name is likely a play on Walker, Texas Ranger. A series about a "Texas lawman." (Which is already giving truly profound levels of horseshit and the I remembered that it starred Chuck Norris. bro should have kept his mouth shut and kept it to the memes🙄)
But like I was saying, many things about Walker were likely the result of the show runners Not Thinking About It That Hard™️.
Because now we get to the part where we take a look at his personality. And uhhh...
Yikes.
So yeah, he's got a Southern accent so any ambiguity about his region of origin goes out the window.
We meet him for the first time as he's threatening Danny for trespassing (id say who died and put him in charge, but..)
(and, hey, unrelated to the rest of the post but do we ever see him do this again? Literally ever? seems sort of pointless to show this once and never have it be relevant but whatevs)
Later we find out that he is a prison warden in the ghost zone. Fairly simple deduction to presume he had the same or a similar occupation in life.
(Really y'all should have already put two and two together about where this is headed by now but im going to tape your eyelids open until im done grilling this man.)
As we see him throughout the series we see that, like all cops, the rule he hold highest above all is Thou Shalt Not Hurt A Cop's Ego. And that he is more than willing to compromise on his supposed rules for the purpose of revenge.
But I want to key in on something.
I find it interesting that the incident that triggered all this was the act of someone being, in his mind, found somewhere they should not be allowed to go.
Iirc part of the reason he took issue with Wulf was his ability to move freely between realms.
(This paragraph references spoilers for the comic Danny Phantom: Fair Game. While it substantiates my previos point it isn't necessary for comprehension.) And though i dont believe myself or anyone else beholden to canon, and the sequel comics to only be half canon at best, i do find it interesting that the current plot of the comics has set Walker up to be the main antagonist specifically with the aims of separating the ghost and human worlds (End Spoilers)
Lets review.
He's a cop. (Prison warden is a distinction without defense and yall know it)
He doesn't actually care about rules beyond his capacity to use them to hurt people (So, a cop.)
His fashion choices place him as a Southerner (Texan?) who was alive in the 1940s - 50s.
He has a Known Issue of bugging the fuck out if people are not in "their place" like. physically. Caught treading in the wrong neighborhoods, if you will. Almost as if-

And frankly it bothers me how NOBODY'S SAYING IT!

The show runners, in typical white male Not Thinking About It That Hard, fashion made a 1940s Texas cop whose favorite part of his job is being an Executioner.
AND HE'S A LITERAL WHITE GHOST!!!
Like?!?!?!? Am I wrong here?? (rhetorical question. I am not.) Like theres no two ways to split this. This aint even headcanon this is just straight analysis of what the text presents and going for the logical conclusion.
ThAt'S wHaT a HeAdCaNOn iS-SHUT THE FUCK UP. Because this is different.
I am not projecting my views onto this character. I am even not even content with going going so farther as to say it is simply coding, because that leaves too much room for ambiguity and interpretation. I am saying that if you make a character that checks all the boxes he does, there's no version of him that isn't a fucking white supremacists.
We know he's a cop.
(Which frankly is sufficient evidence in and of itself.)
We know he's Texan/From the Southern United States.
(Again. See above)
The style of his suit puts him during as being alive during the 40s-50s. During Segregation.
He literally tries to segregate ghosts and humans and jails anyone found outside of their Designated Area-DO YALL GET IT YET?!?
And, once again, when he died his Fucking SOUL Manifested as. A LITERAL.
WHITE.
GHOST.
Context: If, for whatever reason, you somehow dont know: the klan hoods are supposed to look like white ghosts.
The show runners, being white men, Didn't Fucking Think About what all these would mean in combination with each other. Now there may be some who would argue that the lack of intent or explicit acknowledgement by the show runners, would make my argument that this is a truth about this character rather than mere a headcanon, to be void. And to those people. Fuck you. If they reverse engineered a fucking minstrel character by accident that wouldn't make it not what it is.
The show runners wanted to make a cool villain. So made a noir-esque white ghost cop from the 50s. They didnt think about how, by default, that makes him a white supremacist; that there is no ambiguity of his personal ethics because even "good cops" (a mythical oxymoron) of that time period would be expected to enforce explicitly racist ass laws.
Because they didn't have to.
tbh the caucatious makeup of the phandom is probably why this particular facet of this particular character is under-discussed. A significant portion of yall probably didn't even think about it. because you didn't have to.
But much like how white people daydream about how fun it would be to time travel, and Black people dont. It is glaringly obvious in a way that is impossible to ignore if you dont live in a fucking bubble.
Because We Have To Think About This Shit. And just because white people dont, doesnt change the reality of things. Which was my point of This Isn't a Headcanon. This Is Who He Is if you Stop To Think About It Even A Little Bit. You dont get to make a character that looks like a duck and quacks like a duck and say it's not a duck. The fact that the writer's failed to realize that when creating him and the fandom choosing to ignore that is not my goddamn problem.
This son of a bitch has gone too long without someone dogwalkin his ass and I wasn't gonna have it.
Now maybe there's some among you that were aware that Walker's existence implied some rather unsavory implications about his character but didn't consider them relevant enough to comment on. Which is. a choice.
And I dont got any issue with writing him as the villain he is, but the fact that there's 0% chance that he's not a fucking bigot should make an appearance. And it's weird that it doesn't.
To that end, there is not nearly enough of the fandom dedicated to making Walker regularly eat shit and yall should really get on that.
And the thing that bothers me the most about this is that if this revelation somehow breaks containment then one of those idiots (show runners) is going to come forward with art of human Walker being Black or some stupid shit (like thats not immediately worse) to cover for the fact that they accidentally made a klansman as one of their villains. And that's how you'll know i was right.
Because thats the typical move when ignorant show runners get caught with their pants down* because They Didn't Think About That. But they should have.
But also.
With Walker it wouldn't even be "necessary" to pull that kind of bullshit, to try and save face. It should be Perfectly Acceptable, aspirational, even, for your white male teen protagonist to kick the shit out of a White Supremacist. There should be no issue with having your Bad Guy have Actual Real Life Bad Guy Beliefs.
But that's not what kid shows do.
Racism has to be something that can be solved in an afternoon so that white people Dont Have To Think About It after and you can wrap up the end of an episode via Talking To The Racist To Change Their Mind.
And having to do that with Mr. "Executioner, Executioner, Executioner" would come across some kind of way when it becomes apparent whose executions (extrajudicial or otherwise) were his "favorite part of his job" when he was still alive.
(Plus theyd have to present a white supremacists that doesn't magically get better and get forgiven and we cant have that!)

Tldr; Walker from Danny Phantom is a klansman argue wit the wall.
*In the grim adventures of billy and mandy the character grim who is typically a skeleton when turned human was white because the showrunners realized that having two white kids owning a Black man would look fucking crazy. They did not think about this when they gave Grim a Jamaican accent. Because white folks Dont Think About It That Hard but that Doesn't Mean It Doesn't Matter.

The driving force for this post is to question if the phandom ever noticed this shit, and, if so is this considered to be a particularly relevant part of his character, and if not (to either question) why the fuck that is? because by default this makes him the most evil character in the show, by a degree of magnitude.

Bored as fuck, rewaching Danny Phantom and I remembered that the one with a confirmed core is Danny so I'm gonna list off the cores I have head cannons for (I will be assuming that not all cores are based on natural elements and basing it off of mostly their powers or obsessions) and I'm only gonna do the Ghost's that are the most memorable
Dani has an air core because of her personality chill and free personality
Vlad has a fire core because of his hotheaded personality and for some reason, I remember him having fire powers
Skulker has either a pride core or a predator core... Hunt core sounds less creepy but less catchy so I'll just take what I can get
Technus obviously has a tech core, how the fuck could I not give him a tech core
Box Ghost is hard because I know nothing of his personality and powers other than boxes and it is 4am while I'm making this so I'll just say contained core and hope someone has a better idea
Lunch Lady was also a hard one but I decided a rage core was fitting for how easily angry she is, and who the fuck says I can't use emotions as cores
Ember has obviously a sound core because of her music and she gets stronger at the sound of people chanting her name
Desiree has a desire core, I feel like it's on the nose as fuck but her powers are to great people's desires, and she literally gets stronger by doing so. I could have called it a greed core but that sounds like she satisfies her own wants which she doesn't do completely
Spectra is absolutely a misery core since she needed misery to stay young and strong and Bertrand too
For Walker, his need for control tells me that that he has he has a control core
Dark Danny was a hard one to do because I wasn't sure to give him a combined core (making it a water core), give him two cores, or give him Vlad's core since Vlad's dark side too over Danny so I'm gonna leave it to reader interpretation
Ghost Writer also has a control core but his is moreso a manipulation core rather than a need for control
Johnny has a jinx core because of his shadow's ability for bad luck
Kitty has a love core from her love for Johnny and the fact that she needs to blow a kiss to use her power
Pariah Dark also has a rage core but far stronger (one could call it a tyrant core for shits and gigs)
Poindexter actually has a justice core because of his need for giving bullies their payback
Clockwork has a time core
Undergrowth has a nature core
Nocturn has a dream core
Fright Knight obviously has a fear core.
Both Wulf and Cujo have wild cores (this is what makes the most sense to me considering they're canines)

Danny fought like a man with nothing to lose. He was fast, unpredictable, throwing himself into the fray with reckless determination—his twin guns flashing in the eerie green glow of the Ghost Zone.
Walker fought like a warden protecting his domain. His blows were heavy, earth-shaking, enough to break bones and crack the very ground beneath them.
There were no easy victories.
Danny bled. Walker roared. Walls shattered. Chains snapped.
And yet—Danny always got back up.
Every time. Without fail.
Breathing hard, blood dripping from his temple, smoke rising from the ectoplasmic burns on his jacket—he would wipe his mouth, raise his gun, and snarl:
“Where is my Phantom?!”
And Walker, no matter how much he despised the relentless little bastard, could never give him the answer he wanted.
