Abby & Dina Random Dating Headcanons ✧!

✦ They do each other's hair, Dina helps her braid her hair and Abby helps tie hers up, they reach over and fix each other's hair during the day.

✧“Hey, you're pulling” Abby huffs out playfully, looking up at Dina, from where she's seated between her legs. Dina chuckles, waving her off and gently tilts Abby's face back down.

“I need to see what I'm doing, you know?‘ she responds, giving Abby's hair a soft tug.

✦ Dina helps Abby feel more feminine when she needs it, does her makeup, and puts mascara or lip tint/gloss on her.

✧ Dina hums softly as she slides the brush over Abby's lashes, one hand on her chin to hold her still as she carefully applies the mascara “Stop moving” she hisses, brushing her thumb over the corner of Abby's eyes to clean up.

✦ Dina grabs at Abby whenever they kiss, she grips her biceps, grasps at her shoulders, and runs her hands down her back.

✦ Dina loves playing with Abby's hair, rubbing soft circles over the back of Abby’s neck whenever they cuddle, threading her fingers through the hair whenever she lets it down, and scratching at her scalp.

✦ Abby pulls Dina to lean against her whenever they're standing around for too long, pushes Dinas' head onto her shoulder, and keeps a hand firmly wrapped around her waist.

✦ Abby and Dina love to keep a hand on each other while they're in public, Abby’s hand is always resting on the back of Dinas' waist, rubbing soothingly. Dinas' hand is always in Abby's back pocket squeezing her ass every once in a while.

✦ Abby who instead of vocally directing Dina whenever they’re walking toward, hooks her finger into one of her belt loops and leads and pulls Dina forward.

✦ Dina sits across Abby's knees when they watch something together, resting her head on her shoulder and asks dumb questions whenever they watch something just to annoy her.

✧ “Who's that guy again” Dina asks looking up at Abby, trying to hold in a laugh,

“You mean, Peacemaker?” Abby asks looking down at Dina, eyebrows knotting together, “The main character?” Dina nods shakily, before bursting out in giggles, falling back on the couch,

✦ Dina stitches and embroiders flowers into Abby’s clothes whenever they're ripped or broken, humming to whatever songs playing from their shared playlist.

✦ Dina makes Abby do all the TikTok couple trends with her. They DEFINITELY did that draw-your-partner trend together.

✧ “No, it's not that bad” Dina choked out in between laughs, “it's.. you made an attempt” she sputters, as Abby holds the most accurate drawing of her made by Dina.

✦ Abby whose an avid Instagram reel enjoyer (derogatory), Dina tries to get her TikTok but she refuses saying “They're basically the same thing”

✦ Abby who loves shitty action movies and original Marvel movies makes Dina watch them with her. The moment any film comes out with the Rock in it she's pre-ordering theatre tickets immediately, and always argues whenever people call him a bad actor.

✦ Dina makes a bunch of couple crafts, matching eye color bracelets, handcrafted mugs, and keychains, and Abby always makes sure she uses them, always has the keychains clipped on her bag, and never takes her bracelet off.

✦ Abby owns multiple ‘I love my hot girlfriend’ tees and wears them everywhere. She tried to make one into a muscle tee and failed horribly.

I want your opinion as a director. Who are the most overrrated directors and who are the most underrated directors? Maybe your favorite movie from the underrated ones? I have a few days until I go back to school and want to watch some films that wont disapoint.

Will the Top 5 for each one do?

Overrated: Tarantino, Anderson, Burton, Lucas, and Malick (this one particularly kills me because throughout my career I’ve gotten “your work reminds me of Malick” so many times from so many different people in the industry and it’s just…no)

Underrated:

Gaspar Noe: My favorite director of all time. Everything he touches is something no one else but him could ever make. If there is a person whose career I would want, it’s his. He makes some of *the* most fucked up movies ever so if you have trigger warnings of any kind, I’d recommend staying away because I have a feeling at least one of them will be touched upon at some point. It’s hard to pick which one of his movies I like best, but I’d have to say his 2002 film “Irreversible” takes it by hair above “Enter The Void”. It usually makes it onto every list of most fucked up movies but honestly it’s sheer brilliance. It’s just…incredible. It was in Sundance, Cannes, Telluride, etc etc etc. It’s one of those films that critics for the most part rated simply with one word, because really it’s all you can say about it. If you want raw, human, gritty, gut wrenching dramas you watch Gaspar’s movies. They’re not “fucked up” for gratuity’s sake. The things he depicts are things that happen in real life and that’s what makes people uncomfortable. He brings the audience confront the shitty things human beings are capable of doing. He takes you to the point where you almost want to look away but you can’t because not only does he tell incredibly well written stories but he finds a way to portray them in a creatively unique way. His films are utterly fucking powerful and so very devastating and not one of them is even remotely similar as any of the previous ones. 

Sean Durkin: Won “Best Director” at Sundance 2011 for his masterpiece “Martha Marcy May Marlene”.

Debra Granik: I’ll go with the obvious, picking multi Oscar nominated and winner of 2010 Sundance’s Jury Prize for “Best Picture” and “Best Screenplay”. Yes, of course “Winter’s Bone” is on my list. It was the film JLaw should’ve gotten the Oscar for instead of Silver Lining’s but that’s a rant for another day. One of the most thought provoking, brutal, and expertly crafted films of the decade, possibly ever…and written/directed by a fucking woman. She’s the living embodiment of the fact that a man can direct a shitty mediocre movie and then get hired to direct seventeen tentpoles back to back, but a woman takes makes one of the best films in cinema history and fades into obscurity never to work again. 

Mike Cahill: I’ve talked about at length about Mike and his work with Brit Marling before. It’s absolutely sublime and the stuff you need to experience if you love sci-fi and quality movies. He’s always making waves at Sundance and other huge festivals with his work. 

Andrea Arnold: Andrea directed what was easily the best movie of 2016 and one that has gotten robbed this award season. At least it got the Jury Prize at Cannes. “American Honey” is a film you can’t take your eyes off. It’s mesmerizing and rich. Andrea not only made a beautiful film but she managed to get stellar performances out of her entire cast, but specially Shia and Sasha. Shia has had a very long career, but he has never been this good.

Sinto sua falta todos os dias mesmo nos falando, sinto falta daquilo que nunca vamos ter, sinto falta de como me senti contigo, sinto falta de te olhar e confirmar que é exatamente você aquela pessoa que tanto esperei.

Aquela pessoa que já me falaram que não existe que é uma lista de coisas q alguém precisa ser e se encaixar e que isso me levaria a ficar sozinha, eu aceitei que ficaria é por mim tudo bem, acreditei q exigi demais de um homem com essa "lista impossível" de inúmeras qualidades que eu tenho, que adquiri com o tempo e algumas que ainda quero adquirir. Como posso ter uma lista e não ser ela?

Mas ai vc chegou e me mostrou alguém atento aos detalhes, que me enxergou de verdade, sincero, sempre falando a verdade, sem jogos, que me falava e lembrava constantemente o quão incrível eu sou, que é simples, que se preocupa mesmo sem um motivo de doença, que não esbraveja mesmo quando tá bravo, para respira e se acalma, que não espera a todo o momento a maldade nas pessoas, faz piada e acha graça de coisas simples, observa a beleza das coisas que esta fora do nosso controle, tem leveza no olhar, sempre quer conversar pra resolver as coisas invés de brigar.

Minha vida é tão feita de brigas e gritos e isso é tão cansativo. Que quando alguém te mostra na prática como é tudo aquilo que você deseja pra vida te dá uma tranquilidade. Te faz repensar todos os comportamentos, te faz querer adquirir algumas qualidades, eu tô sempre levando tudo a ferro e fogo e pra quê?

Você foi e me deixou com aquela sensação que a vida me trouxe você pra me mostrar que a minha "lista" existe, mas que não vou ter a sorte de encontrar novamente. Foi breve mas foi tudo aquilo que eu sempre sonhei.
