Watching these guys grow over the winter months is my favourite get away from the cold.

I live in Canada so I had to buy a plant light in order to get some seeds to germinate. This can be purchased at any pant store, over Amazon or your local super store/hardware store. I started some seeds in the soil in late March of this year in egg cartons. Tomatoes, brussel sprouts, kale, lettuce, bell pepers, leek, chives, a bunch of flowers meant to help out with our polination friends. Always use the suggested start date on the seed packet in order to ensure proper success of the germination process.

Some seeds are complicated and require special conditions in order to emerge and thrive in the place they are introduced to. I will say it again keeping a record or journal of some sort can help with your future self and the amount of success they can have as well from your shared mistakes.

Gardening helps me feel like I am helping the little bugs, insects and other friends that visit. I started these in February of this year. I placed them in a sunny spot with a plastic case recycled from a herb container. Making sure they did not dry out was a daily sometimes twice a day task. But worth it in the end. Look at their cute little tails!

The baby robins are getting big! I was beading over the weekend and I was able to watch the mom fly all day to get worms to feed them. Non stop job! They wake me up in the mornings.
