***Invocation to Otherworlds*** A poem for the lakes my childhood house was built next to and the local water spirit of the indigenous Okanagan people. The Lake of Many Colours is the translation for Kalamalka Lake. Naitaka, also more colloquially known as the Ogopogo, is akin to Nessie of the Scottish Loch Ness and resides in Lake Okanagan.
