by far one of the most entertaining aspects of we are is that at the beginning none of the characters are technically in the same genre. tan is in an enemies to lovers romcom. fang is in a family romance drama. q is in a slice of life show. toey is in a drama romance with a secret admirer subplot. chain is in a classic friendship sitcom. pun is not aware he's in a show. phum is in a 'traumatized soft protagonist that seems harsh learns to love again' show. peem is in uni.

It is so funny to me that Peem really believes that he needs the Slave Deal to keep Phum around while Phum is out there making sure Peem remembers their kisses and getting all jealous about Kluen and helping around Peem's aunt's cafe. And the fact that this perfectly highlights how insecure Peem was in himself and his own merit to keep Phum interested and attached to him is so special. Like Phum was not letting go at all, but Peem could not trust the grip enough until he could see the pressure it had withheld, and that's respectable.
