A Game of Thrones - prologue
"Dance with me then"
RANDOM BOOK SANSA SCENES 4/?
"Bronze Yohn knows me," she reminded him. "He was a guest at Winterfell when his son rode north to take the black." She had fallen wildly in love with Ser Waymar, she remembered dimly, but that was a lifetime ago, when she was a stupid little girl. "And that was not the only time. Lord Royce saw . . . he saw Sansa Stark again at King's Landing, during the Hand's tourney."
First wife of Walder Frey
House Royce is so interesting tho do you think the rune armor really works ? And how ?
Jon Snow X Sansa Stark x The Royces
Sansa about Waymar Royce when she knew him -
Sansa about Jon Snow when she knew him -
Sansa about Arya - 'She even looked like Jon, with the long face!'
Sansa about Arya -
Waymar does come across as a character Sansa would fall in love with - he was brave no doubt, the classic high born hero of the songs. He was also arrogant, the common men laughed at him and mocked him in private, having no respect for him as a leader.
Meanwhile when Jon gets elected Lord Commander -
Waymar Royce and Jon Snow have zero in common, from their upbringing to their personality.
PS: When I was googling Waymar Royce to get the relevant quotes, ALL the search results that showed up were Jonsa posts ...
JONAN THE BARBARIAN 😭😭😭
Waymar Royce is a badass, fun character for the cool introduction to the world and the threat from beyond the Wall and yet all he is now known for on the internets is crackship idiocy. Poor Waymar.
Will rose. Ser Waymar Royce stood over him. His fine clothes were a tatter, his face a ruin. A shard from his sword transfixed the blind white pupil of his left eye. The right eye was open. The pupil burned blue. It saw.
The look Mance gave Jon was grim and cold. "What happened to your face?" Ygritte said, "Orell tried to take his eye out." "It was him I asked. Has he lost his tongue? Perhaps he should, to spare us further lies." Styr the Magnar drew a long knife. "The boy might see more clear with one eye, instead of two." "Would you like to keep your eye, Jon?" asked the King-beyond-the Wall. "If so, tell me how many they were. And try and speak the truth this time, Bastard of Winterfell.
The wildling drove a knee between Jon's legs. Jon lashed out with a mailed fist. Somehow Rattleshirt ended up on top, with Jon's head in his hands. He smashed it against the ground, then wrenched his visor open. "If I had me a dagger, you'd be less an eye by now," he snarled, before Horse and Iron Emmett dragged him off the lord commander's chest. "Let go o' me, you bloody crows," he roared.
It was a judgment from the gods, they said, for the kinslayer is accursed. If they were wise, though, they did not say it loudly. How many eyes does Lord Bloodraven have? ran the riddle Egg had heard in Oldtown. A thousand eyes, and one.
The way's easy. Look for the Ice Dragon, and chase the blue star in the rider's eye." She backed through a door and started up the winding steps.
