The Women+s Brick Initiative (WBI) research contributor team is excited to share some fascinating research results! From March through Novem
Caleb and I are very excited to publish the results of the 2024 WBI Community Research Survey! We have been tirelessly working up data from the many wonderful responses we received last year. These surveys were disseminated at several in-person conventions and shared by the community online. We hope you enjoy reading and looking at this data as much as we did collecting and summarizing it! We have also created the article in PDF format, because we know large webpages with lots of images can sometimes be difficult to load depending on internet speed. If you would prefer to enjoy reading the research summary offline, it is available via a Google Drive portal here. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/17ux3n3zKVoSnFQWOhnuXu0pf4RwrPKCI?usp=sharing
DCP Fall 2018 Journey!
Soooo, I’ve been keeping this under wraps for the most part on all of my social media, but on January 22nd around 12:30 EST, I applied for the Fall program for 2018! It has been almost 2 whole weeks, and I am still in applied. There are moments where I feel so confident about getting my WBI soon, and there are moments I fear it may not happen for me this semester. I will not give up, even if this season goes south! There have been only a handful at max of people that I’ve seen get out of applied so far, which I’m taking as a sign that no applied waves have happened yet, and I’m hopeful I will be a part of one! Arrivals for Spring 2018 end tomorrow, so I’m looking forward to reporting with good news in the next few weeks. Send me pixie Dust, so that hopefully I can get wiggled out of applied!
I passed my WBI and scheduled my phone interview!

We like research, yes we do! We like research, how about you?!?! The Women's Brick Initiative (WBI) needs your help! We've just finished compiling our control group survey data on LEGO art demographics and now we are opening the survey for "public consumption" and we need your help! :) (Because we all know research requires data, and in order to get data, we need surveys. And in order to encourage positive changes within the LEGO community, we need data. You see the circle, yes? :) ) The survey takes about 30 minutes to complete, with the first portion mostly "check the box" and the second half for your thoughts, experiences, and opinions. If you were part of the control group, you don't need to take the survey again (but you can if you want, I guess?). The survey will run from 16-31 August 2024 and you will probably see it cross-posted to a variety of LEGO online communities with focuses on inclusion and diversity. We do request you only take the survey once :) The results from the control group survey will be provided during the WBI panel at BrickCon in Bellevue, Washington (USA) next month from 5-8 September (we don't have the actual panel date and time yet) and the rest of the survey results will be posted later this year, as an article on the WBI's website!
Thank you very much for your assistance! Your voice matters and we can't wait to see your thoughts! :)
